I thought we all needed a good laugh today, so here it is: the BBC telling us that women are affected harder by climate change. I suppose it was only a matter of time!
Oh - and the source? Nighat Arif is a Pakistani-born British doctor who appears on TV shows such as BBC Breakfast. I suppose she has to earn her BBC subsidy.

Including men who identify as women?

Including men who identify as women? If a woman decides she's a man (trans-man), does she become more robust in the face of the heat?

I have always wondered how the Muslim women can stand it, living in one of the hottest climates in the world and constantly forced to walk around wrapped up in Hijabs made of cotton or jersey without ripping their ‘too hot’ clothing off in a fit of (understandable) rage?

Nothing new. They’re telling men that we are 2nd class citizens lol

Men die. Women hit harder.

I think the proper thing for us in America to do to help the Europeans, especially the British, is to change the climate as quickly as possible so that the Gulf Stream stops (if that's news to you, please try to keep up with the latest).
Because if the Gulf Stream stops bringing nice warm Caribbean water to the shores of Europe, they're all gonna freeze.
Which is presumably welcome in a heat wave.
Easy peasy.

Muzzies are a bigger threat to women in the UK than the heat.

Women survive hypothermic conditions longer for the same reason: they have additional subcutaneous fat that keeps them warmer. This does not help in hyperthermic conditions.

Muslims are not strictly required to bathe every day, but Islamic teachings do require a full ritual bath (called ghusl) at least once a week (specifically on Fridays).
