The White House announced the first "Freedom Fuel" gas station, which it says is selling gasoline at a below-market rate of $3.47 a gallon.

In a post on social media platform X on Tuesday, the White House announced that the first Freedom Fuel location "has LANDED in Philadelphia."

The White House noted that the $3.47 price tag is a nod to President Trump, who in his second term serves as the nation's 47th president. "President Trump is leading the charge to lower gas prices this summer — putting more money in your pocket," the White House added in the post.

Now we need some Freedom Grocery Stores that will sell beef at regular prices.

I don’t eat beef but would love some chicken and salmon at great prices.

Gas stations are not going to sell gas below the market price. And they shouldn’t.

Trump needs to declare peace…again…and make it stick this time. THAT is the only way gas is going to come down, and bring all of the associated inflation with it.

Trump has a strong will…but this isn’t going to move on his will alone.

Then those maniacs will just go back to their old ways, and we'll be back to square one. He needs to swiftly take out the whole regime.

I paid $2.73 three days ago here in the Ozarks. Now $3.50. Pretty rapid move.

Only 3 stations in our city charge more than that for gasoline. Cheapest is a Walmart at 2.97, matching the price of Sams across town. Prices generally range #3.09 - $3.39. No real consistency by brand.

Gas jumped $.08/gal in Tulsa with last night’s report of shots fired in the Straits of Hormuz. Now at $3.259/gal.

Gasoline prices in NE North Carolina are less than the “freedom station” at numerous stations.

If Trump wanted to help consumers, he’d issue an executive order that gasoline is vital to interstate commerce and not subject to state taxes except stales taxes applying to all products.

This article makes it sound like the White House has something to do with the “freedom fuel” gas station.

And they do not.

Which is a good thing. The government can call for lower prices, but they should not set them.

I got chicken recently at Publix. 2 lbs of thighs for 5.59.

Then found 2 quarters with mesquite seasoning at 1.5 pounds for 3.50.

I’m not impressed. it’s $3.49/gal. on average here in KY. We’ve been driving 250 mi. round trip to Indiana for medical treatments, and this past Mon. we got it there for $2.579!
