A truck driver with no legal right to be in the country, let alone behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler, killed Pennsylvania State Trooper Michael E. Pahira Jr. Wednesday morning while he was doing his job.
Pahira, 44, had served with the Pennsylvania State Police since 2007, most recently as a motor carrier enforcement inspector. He was inspecting a semi-truck on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County when another truck ran off the road, slammed into his patrol car and the vehicle he was checking, then struck him directly. Both trucks erupted in flames. Pahira died at a local hospital a short time later.

I was suspiociious from the beginning since earlier reports gave none of these vital details.
The man charged in the trooper's death is 33-year-old Michael Bon, a Haitian national living in Brockton, Mass. He faces homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, reckless driving, and six additional charges. Schuylkill County Prison is holding him on $700,000 bail, DHS has lodged an immigration detainer against him, and his next court date is July 15.
He flew in July 2024, courtesy of Joe Biden's “humanitarian” parole program. DHS later denied his bid for Temporary Protected Status, pulled his parole and told him to get out. He didn't go. Instead, he kept driving trucks on American highways.
In March 2025, while still legally authorized to work, Bon got a non-domiciled commercial driver's license (CDL) from Massachusetts. If that’s not bad enough, the state renewed it in February 2026, just days before the Trump administration ordered states to stop issuing or renewing non-domiciled CDLs to drivers who no longer met federal eligibility requirements. Massachusetts renewed it anyway.
I had many close calls and knew other troopers that had their vehicle struck.

True, and in this case it looks like the defendant deliberately targeted the trooper, following the example of fellow DemonRats, like the one who assasinated Charlie Kirk.
What if the state that issued the license and trucker lives is held accountable financially for his loss to both the family and the State of Pennsylvania.
That’s a State to State law suit, which should go directly to the SCOTUS for review. Harboring illegals is a criminal act, as well as giving them driver licenses, that results in damages to other states.

From a crimional’s standpoiont running over is superior to shooting because there’s always the chance of pleading, “it was only a tragic accident,” a dodge the suspect is likely to use here.

All Americans who indirectly allowed power to the Dems and socialists to have an open border. Trump tried to build a wall and was opposed for a long time. ICE tried to arrest and deport illegals and is now being threatened the college age types and their elected officials.
Child rapists and murderers are defended by the Dems to have “due process” and to stay in our country supported by our taxes and vote illegally here. Swalwell and now several others said to watch for the new regime to arrest and imprison ICE agents and leaders after the elections.
When you see a Dem or socialist at a supermarket, a store or a DMV line or anywhere else, you are looking at an enemy.

It took me month of training and tests to get my CDL back in the 90s (passenger, tanker, multi axle). Someone in the DMV is either getting kickbacks OR they have been specifically instructed to give these illegal alien turds CDLs.
Um,yer not kidding. Back in the early to mid-90s, I was having a bit of a hard time getting a job due a federal hiring freeze, as well as a recession. A friend of mine suggested I apply to become a corrections officer, as being a state trooper was more dangerous. Fortunately, I graduated top of my class, and got to choose the prison/shift (so long as they had an opening) throughout the entire state of AL.
I chose the 10PM - 6AM shift, and had very little interaction with inmates, which allowed me to start a business during the day.
His family should sue Massachusetts. The feds could help build the case first.
