In the Truth there is no news, and in the News there is no truth.
Could be significant - makes an incursion further into Ukraine (over the next year) possible - but at a significant cost. Some say that’s the plan, then settle for peace by giving back a part of Ukraine, but not the Donbas.
Donetsk = Donbas, or however it’s spelled
Donetsk don’t tell.
Mankind is great at a lot of things. They’re best at killing!
Lol, “destruction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues”. It’s going into the fifth year of “destruction” of Ukrainian army.
Nice place. Oh, who am I kidding? I was a dump.
Being enslaved and murdered is a strange definition of “liberated”. But then, the Putinistas will their ideological blinders will accept it.
Donbas = Donetsk + Luhansk
Many of the towns between the 2014 truce lines and the front lines have a population of zero. Many others have a few others, desperately clinging because if they leave, Russia seizes the property. There have been more than 1.5 million Russian casualties, and 500,000 deaths. But the land may have $25 trillion worth of rare earths and other geological natural resources, so the war goes on.
It won’t go on forever. Russia has lost its entire tank supply, and burned through its entire reserves. They can only use as many tanks as they can build, which has forced them to largely substitute trucks for tanks. Not surprisingly their kill ratio has gone from 1:2 to 1:8. They have burned through their defensive missile supply, and focused on manufacturing solely offensive missiles. But by 2028, the U.S. will be able to supply two Patriots for every Russian missile.
Occupation by foreign troops is not liberation.
Meanwhile, the lights were out in Crimea last night. Looks like North Korea.
Yes, they are liberated. They are Russian heritage and rightfully want nothing of the globalist Ukrainian state. They won’t be enslaved by Blackrock and Zionists that despise the ‘orcs’ living there. We see what the faggot EU is doing to its people, White replacement, and want nothing of it. Were I on the border with Russia and Ukraine; I’d say better Russia than Ukraine too.
I see merit to your words. But what does Zionism have to do with it? If anything, there is a tradeoff between the US defending Israel and defending the Ukraine. Perhaps we should choose one.
How is your wife handling this? I take it she has family and friends there.
Putin has most of the rare earths in the Donbas already:

That’s a very interesting site.
Thanks for the geography lesson
It's deeply complicated in ways that many Americans simply can't understand.
We Americans like to root for our favorite teams. We like black and white, good vs evil.
Over there it is very much a civil war that has divided not only neighbors and families, but deep interpersonal beliefs that people hold within themselves regarding their pride in not only being Russian but also a love for Ukraine.
It has also affected our expat Orthodox church here in San Diego. Once welcome to all from the former Soviet diaspora, is now bitterly divided. Ukrainians, Belorussians, and Russians who once worshiped happily together are now going their separate ways.
