Thirteen Democratic House members and candidates have signed onto a new centrist initiative called "Promise to America," explicitly declaring "We are capitalist, not socialist" and calling for secure borders, fiscal responsibility, and national pride.
The announcement comes days after Democratic Socialists of America-backed candidates won several primaries in New York, bringing to light the ongoing tensions inside the Democratic Party as it prepares for the 2026 midterms under President Donald Trump. What the Pledge Says
The full text of the pledge outlines six core principles.
Under "Growth, Competition, and Broad Prosperity," it states: "We are capitalist, not socialist." It calls for an economy that rewards hard work, lowers costs, and expands opportunity rather than favoring those at the top.
The "Safety, Security, and Human Dignity" section reads: "We want safety, not lawlessness." It supports "secure borders," "orderly immigration," and "safe communities."
Other sections commit signers to fiscal discipline ("We are responsible, not reckless"), to competent government, to free speech and moderation ("We are mainstream, not extreme"), and to "Confident Patriotism" ("We are proud, not ashamed of America").

One of them is my congressman. I don't believe him. I don't believe any of them.
There are no moderate democrats.
They all vote in lockstep to whatever Schumer, Jeffries, or Pelosi tell them to do.

Republicans should use the likes of AOC, Mamdani and the two commies recently elected in NY City as the Faces of the Democrat Party. “Maintream” Democrats know this and are trying to distance themselves.
If Republicans had any sense they’d do exactly that - they won’t. We have Republicans still fighting the SAVE Act:

Almost all of these Rat incumbents are safe in November even though they are pretty much the most *marginal* ones around (Where is Marie Gluesenkamp Perez?)
Which should tell you something about GOP chances of picking up ANY House seats outside of the ones which were made possible by redistricting (plus maybe one in Maine).
The big trick for Republicans will be holding on to marginal seats they already possess.
If Democrats were truly scared about their chances and the effect which the emerging Nazi-wing of the party is having, way more of them would be faking to the center than just these 10 incumbents and 3 wanna-bees. But for the most part, they don’t need to fake it — they’re safe right where they are.
Vote YES on the SAVE America Act to prove it.
Check their poll numbers to see if they are trailing MAGA candidates.
Yet each and every one of these “moderate Democrats” will vote to provide subsidies from hard working , decent American taxpayers to subsidize the Democrat socialist urban strongholds.
Senators Manchin and Sinema refused to goose-step with the rest. Because of that the Filabuster survived and instead of the permanent coup the RAT's had planned , America itself survived. The Biden coup scared me enough to create an End Of America post.
Of course the RAT's ran them out of office afterwards.
