A Fort Lauderdale woman is behind bars, accused of taking statewide teacher exams for several educators, Florida's attorney general announced Thursday.
Kashaundra Knowles, 37, who runs a tutoring business, had been taking the exams in person for other people for $1,000 per test over the last two years, according to the Florida Office of Statewide Prosecution. Three of those teachers who hired her are from the Broward County Public Schools district.
“She fraudulently took tests for other people, and now there are teachers here in Broward County that have no business being in the classroom," Attorney General James Uthmeier said. "They did not get their proper certifications; they have cheated, and they will pay for it."
Knowles allegedly took exams for a teacher at Westglades Middle School in Parkland and a teacher assistant at Parkway Middle School in Fort Lauderdale, state investigators said.
She allegedly went to great lengths to disguise herself to look like her customers, changing her hair, clothes and makeup to match the person for whom she was testing. In at least one case, Knowles even dressed as a man to take an elementary education exam, investigators said.

“Knowles is charged with organized scheme to defraud.
The state also alleged she took exams for at least eight people statewide, and the tests were taken in South Florida. Knowles also allegedly took the GED and nursing exams for other people.”
Sounds as if a Florida man needs to be investigated for more than just test fraud.
No pic? Asking for Yogi.
Was the “man’s” previous job dressing as a woman and reading stories to children in the school at Drag Queen Story Hours?
Yes, it’s them.
After prison she might make an excellent elections worker.../sarcasm
Kashaundra...........
If Kashaundra wasn’t wearing white face for the test, it should be easier to find the black perv who cheated to be an elementary school teacher. How many are there?
“Kashaundra”…another Amish…
I’m so ashamed to have participated. I paid her to take a DNA test for me
But on the other hand, I want her to teach disguise techniques at the CIA headquarters.
Perhaps she could work alongside this guy.
“Kashaundra” passed the the Teachers Exam for others?
Not sure what’s worse.
That fraud was committed.
Or that a Teachers Test test was so easy Kashaundra could pass it.

Any relation to Beyonce Knowles?
Holy cow, did NBC leave a lot out.
Much more here...
Ties in with nursing certification, too...
“Kashaundra” sounds like a sneeze.
“Kashaundra” tells me everything I need to know
A $1,000 is all? Should be worth at least $10,000-$20,000.
One of the people for whom she took the test was something like a … exceptional student facilitator. This person couldn’t even pass the basic test to be a teacher and yet she is working with either the really bright or the really needy children. It’s time to all the special programs, use computers to follow the students and see how they do year over year with various teachers
If a teacher consistently teaches kids that, for example, make 0.7 years progress in their class, when the year before they made an average of 1.2 years, the teacher who is failing the students needs counseling to be a better teacher or to leave the profession.
