Howdy, luvie.
It was actually a good day but now I’m whipped. My foot behaved well enough I was able to take care of a few things that had to be done. Had to get a refill of one of Shags’ meds and the most important was getting a shower head on a hose. Got those and the rest of the things done, got home, installed the shower head and got my first shower in over a week. The shower stall in the laundry room has a seat so it’s in there. I can’t get into a tub for a while. Man, do I feel a LOT better now. Just now sitting down with some supper.
It wasn’t too hot here. Got up to 84 while I was out this afternoon. It started out cloudy but the sun came out later.
Must’ve been toasty there. NWS says it’s 90 now. UGH!

Yeah, it’s about 87 now, but there is a stiff breeze that makes it feel really nice. I just got my shower, and I think after I post this, I’m going out to sit with the kitties for a bit and cool off. Then I’ll come in and have some of my strawberry shake that’s frozen.
I’ll bet you ARE tired. You did quite a bit for someone who is sort of limited by that darn boot. Thank goodness you have it, though, so you can at least get around.
We’ve had those shower heads on hoses ever since we discovered them in Germany. EVERYone used them there, and they are the best for cleaning the tub...and rinsing a baby. LOL!
See ya in a bit. I’m going out now. I’m sweating big time....and I just heard my first mosquito buzzing around my ear! eeeeee. 🦟🦟

If you still have that stiff breeze, it probably does feel nice outside. No breeze here and it would have been welcome this afternoon. It’s still muggy.
Enjoy some time outside with the kitties. I’m giving my poor foot a break from the boot at the moment but plan to sit on the patio for a minutes in a little while. The katydids are chattering at last!
Normally, what I did today would have been nothing but it took so darn long to do it. I get along at a snail’s pace with the boot and crutch. But the foot held up better than I expected so healing is going on in there.
My parents had a shower head on a hose in their bathroom when I was a teen but I never bothered buying one after I left home. Fortunately, they’re easy to install so I had this one in place in a jiff.
Hope the skeeters don’t run you back inside quickly.

No skeeters outside, but that breeze got to be too much, and the kitties were off on their nightly rounds, so I just came back in after about 15 minutes. I don’t like the wind blowing my hair into my eyes. LOL!
I hope you do go out to sit and listen to the katydids. They will make you happy. And there is definitely some healing going on or you wouldn’t have been able to do ALL that stuff today without being in major pain instead of minor pain.
Sooooooo....how are those soybeans looking? Have they grown a lot?

The breeze was a benefit because it’s probably what kept the skeeters from bugging you. Too bad it was enough of a bother to get you to go back inside so soon.
It’s about time to feed and dose Shags and I’ll go out for a few afterwards. Got the boot back on now. Been checking out videos of the 3 big quakes today. Mother Earth was cranky!
We’ll see how I feel tomorrow after all I did today. LOL Might pay for it. But for now, it’s not too bad. My back’s giving me grief with muscle spasms, though, and I’ve had a couple of brief spells of cramps in the right leg. Did some stretches and that’s calmed down for now.
Can’t say I’m very fond of this gettin’ old thing.
I didn’t get out of the car to go to the edge of the field but could the beans in a few spots as I pulled out today. They’re lookin’ good. They should be taller than the wheat stubble next week. I’ll be glad when they’re tall and bushy enough to hide the stubble altogether.

Yeah, I like a nice breeze, but not when it blows stuff around, especially my hair.
I’m watching a bit of AgendaFreeTV report on the earthquake in Venezuela. I think theirs must have been the worst. Though, with Japan’s houses sort of made of paper, they could have heavy damage, too. Unless they don’t do that anymore.
Enjoy the outside air and getting to relax for a bit. Maybe you can take it off again while you’re sitting out there listening to those katydids.

A nice breeze is refreshing, for sure. Strong can be annoying. BUT it does keep skeeters away. LOL
I didn’t think about Steve. I’ll pull him up. He annoys me but with something like this, he does a pretty good job. Lots of video.
CA started the day off with a pretty big shaker this morning. Venezuela had the largest two this evening followed closely by Japan. I imagine there are still some older houses there that aren’t built well but the newer buildings hold up pretty well. One clip was of a massive mudslide that took out a lot of homes.
I did enjoy the katydids chattering. I left the boot on because it was fairly comfortable. Don’t want to push my luck. It takes a few adjustments to get it right.
