Vice President JD Vance on Thursday issued a stark warning for the Israeli government to get on board with President Donald Trump's controversial agreement with Iran, suggesting Israel had alienated much of the globe in recent years and that the U.S. was its last remaining major ally.
"If I was in the cabinet of the Israeli government, I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have anywhere left in the entire world," Vance said near the end of an hourlong White House briefing with reporters.
The remarks were the most public display of how much the Trump Administration's relationship with Israeli leadership has grown increasingly acrimonious since the U.S. and Israel jointly launched a war against Iran nearly four months ago.
Vance spent most of the briefing defending the Iran deal, which Israel was not a direct party to but commits the country to halting its missile attacks in Southern Lebanon while resuscitating Iran's economy through lifting its crude oil sanctions. In exchange, Iran agreed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and promised to not to produce any nuclear weapons.

We went in with the stated objectives of Unconditional Surrender and elimination of Iranian proxies.
And we end it with Iran getting, at least, a sweetheart deal and a US demand Israel withdraw from Lebanon.
And I’m pretty sure Evangelicals will have a material say on this matter.
Shouldn’t we wait to see if Iran abides by Trump’s Iran deal?
Why is that relevant to a demand of Israeli withdrawal?
I don’t know. Because Israel has a right to protect and defend itself from rocket attacks? Just spitballin’.
You can only betray that to which you owe loyalty.
Israel needs to play along. It won’t be long before they’re going to be able to attack to their heart’s content. Iran is going to blow this all on their own — patience Israel.
I don’t want his Hindu wife and her false gods in the White House of a biblical nation. I don’t trust him.
An end of days reminder:
Zechariah 14:2
For I will gather ALL the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered ….
Zechariah 12:3
On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And ALL the nations of the earth will gather against it.
Are we there yet? Not yet, but it is becoming easy to see how ALL nations will turn against Israel.
“You can only betray that to which you owe loyalty.”
We undertook a joint military operations as allies. So yeah, we owed them a degree of honesty and common purpose.

The MOU is not ‘the deal’.
It’s a prelude to a deal.
Quit misrepresenting things.
He’s also trying lecture us conservatives on how to be properly conservative. I think Trump has turned him loose so he can implode and its working. What an idiot. 🙄
I’ve heard Vance speak a few times recently. He needs to stop making personal conclusions on policy.
The MOU says the ceasefire extends to Lebanon.
The US says Israel must withdraw from Lebanon.
What’s the misrepresentation?
President Trump and Israel have set a trap for Iran with this MOU and it looks like Iran is taking the bait, hook line and sinker.
I have to say that part of this reminds of the time over 80 years ago when Great Britain and Nazi Germany got together and decided to divide Czechoslovakia so that the German-speakers in the Sudetenland would be absorbed into the Third Reich. The Government of Czechoslovakia was somewhat surprised to learn about this.
If a third party is involved, then the third party ought to be involved.
Show some respect, relax, and let the process play out. No one is going to make you withdraw from Mt. Hermon or Lebanon. But it certainly doesn't help to piss off Trump. Sheesh.
“President Trump and Israel have set a trap for Iran with this MOU”
Nonsense.
“Betrayed them,” by not getting more Americans killed, spending the US into poverty and depleting all American defensive and offensive munitions?
Betrayed for not destroying the entire Mideast and instigating a gobal energy and economic crisis? The UAE was set to be a thing of the past... I’m not making that up.
BTW, you’re tacitly admitting we were doing Israel’s dirty work.
I guess a hitman betrays his employer by not killing the target. Or a man betrays his drug addled psycho-b*ch GF by finally breaking it off.
