Donald Trump accused Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu of killing 'too many people' in Lebanon while speaking at the Group of Seven summit on Tuesday.
While sitting for bilateral meetings with the Qatari delegation, including Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the President expressed his frustrations with Israel's actions in Lebanon.
'Israel is fighting Hezbollah too long, and too many people are being killed,' Trump said while taking questions from reporters. ’They should have been able to do the job faster.’
'You don't have to knock down an apartment house every time you're looking for somebody. There are a lot of people in those apartment houses and they're not all Hezbollah.'
Israel has killed at least 3,783 people and wounded 11,699 others in Lebanon between March 2 and June 14, according to Lebanon's health ministry. The agency does not distinguish between civilians and military combatants.
Trump also aired his anger with Bibi over the Israeli PM's decision to bomb Beirut just two hours before the memorandum of understanding was to be signed by the US and Iran on Sunday.
'Bibi has to be more responsible with respect to Lebanon,' Trump said. 'I'm not happy with the way Israel has handled themselves with Lebanon, and with Hezbollah.'
Trump also noted that he has told Israeli officials that Syria should 'take care' of the Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah.

Trump is definitely right about that.
I’d be very wary of having Syria act in Lebanon.
Trump doesn’t care what Israel does as they actively fight terrorism on a daily basis. He’s just afraid Bibi is going to screw up his deal with Iran.
He HAS to do that to get the Arabs from supporting IRAN! Come on people.......think.

His remarks are a little confusing (not unusual for Trump). He is critical of Israel’s methods in going after Hezbollah. Then he implies that he doesn’t want them going after Hezbollah at all. Instead, he wants Syria to take care of them. Say what??

Hez=IRGC and they have made North Israel uninhabitable. Many/most? Northern Israelis have evacuated south for months into temporary living arrangements.

I feel like Israel keeps surprising Trump which is a recipe to make anyone who is higher in the pecking order unhappy. Now is this an issue with what Trump is being briefed or is Israel going rogue at times? Not sure. But I do think that expanding the war into Lebanon was not something Trump wanted and he warned Israel to not do but they did it anyway. So is that derangement or normal frustration?
LOL They are never happy unless Trump does exactly what they want. He was great as long as he was dancing to their tune with all the war stuff. Now... well he is every bad name in the book. 🙄😏
Trump is behaving more like the Trump many of us voted for.
