President Trump announced that a deal to end the war in Iran is scheduled to be signed Sunday, with the Strait of Hormuz opening right away.
“The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow, and immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN TO ALL,” he posted Saturday on Truth Social.
“We look forward to working with Iran, and the entire Middle East, long into the future. Hopefully, this process will all work out quickly, easily, and smoothly,” he added. “If it doesn’t, we have the ultimate alternative, hopefully never to be used again!”

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, however, gave a different timeline.
“We will have to wait and see about the exact date of the signing of the memorandum of understanding, although it will not be tomorrow,” state media reported him saying. “The possibility of this happening in the coming days cannot be ruled out. However, due to the hesitation of the other side, we must be cautious in making any comments about this process.”

Do you get the feeling that they are just going page by page and reading from their old playbook? The responses don’t match the situation, of which, this is one of those occasions.
I just have a hard time believing a hard core, radical, extremist, nut-case group like the IRGC has suddenly has had an epiphany.
Seems that we have a failure to communicate.

There was no deal, there is no deal, and there will not be a deal. Get over it, folks. We are dealing with maniacs who are unwittingly following Satan himself. We just need to wait for our defense industrial base to replenish what we have expended so far so we can finish the job. All the talk of deals is to keep the market from tanking and oil prices from spiking too high.
Bomb them to the Stone Age! Trump should have an aide pass him a note first thing every morning that says ‘UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!’ so he never forgets.
You can’t make a deal with these people. Trump has to learn that.

Trump is always laughably optimistic about crises. Like “Covid will end by Easter” etc.
Like the Vietcong , the only path to victory the IRGC has is thru the RAT party. By doing everything they can to raise the price of gas and create war fatigue they are hoping to make Trump look bad enough so that the RATs seize power. With the President eager to end this whole affair he is a easy target to make look bad by having him repeat their empty promises.
Trump creates many of his own problems. The first problem was getting into this war, but now that we are here, his endless proclamations on TruthSocial has turned the entire process of trying to end the war into a fiasco, mainly due tohis own actions.

Iran will sign on to Trump’s peace deal right after Putin signs Trump’s peace deal for Russia and Ukraine.
This has got to turn out badly for Trump. He has been had and doesn’t seem to realize it.

A poser, a question. Could this be a treaty with a civilian group to pave the way for a combined removal by force of the IRGC? Who’s agreeing to what? Inquiring minds want to know. Regardless, I bet our soldiers do the heavy lifting. We always did, do, and will.

President Trump should make them an offer they can’t refuse.
If true, I suspect we will get immediate concessions on delivery of uranium, then when Iran inevitably breaches the agreement, we will be in a better position to finish them off.
