President Trump said he is readying new strikes on Iranian infrastructure — after warning that the Islamic Republic will “have to pay the price” for taking “too long” to negotiate a peace deal.
The commander-in-chief said he is “getting close to ordering new strikes against Iranian power plants and bridges” in a phone call with Fox News’ chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst on Wednesday.
Trump also accused Iran in the phone call of “tapping the United States along when it comes to the negotiating process.”

I think Iran is stalling so as to either hurry up and build their own nuclear device or have one shipped by submarine from NK.
Taking out bridges and power plants will leave in place the means by which the Mullahs threaten the Strait of Hormuz as well as their remaining ballistic missiles and their launch sites. The civilians will suffer the most, the strait will still be closed, and the IRGC will continue to menace everyone.
Trumps targets are the wrong ones. They are easy to identify soft targets. The targets that need to be hit are all military targets.

The Strait of Hormuz is functionally at a near-standstill and operates only as a highly restricted passage. Traffic through it has dropped from the usual ≈ 100 to 130 cargo ships per day down to a mere handful.
