DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa (WHP) — A local baseball team is hoping to raise money for a 14-year-old player and his mother critically injured after a DUI driver allegedly crashed into them going 100 mph.
Landon Walker was in the car with his mother Stephanie on May 30 when Chandra Basnet crashed into the pair in the 5800 block of Linglestown Road, officers said.
According to the Linglestown Baseball Association on Monday, the two are both in critical condition.
On Saturday, May 30, 2026, tragedy struck one of our own. In a horrific accident caused by recklessness, our Teener B Grey player, Landon Walker, and his mother, Stephanie, were critically injured in our hometown of Linglestown. They both were hospitalized, and they have a long journey of healing ahead.
An affidavit for Basnet said Landon had to have surgery for his injuries, including a fractured pelvis, fractured ribs, a broken tooth and lung bruising so severe that the teen needed a ventilator.
Officers also confirmed that Stephanie suffered fractured vertebra, fractured ribs, blood in her lungs and bruising.
To raise money for the mother and son, the baseball association stated it's selling bracelets for $5 with the phrase "Swing for Lando" on them.
The organization said the bracelets are available for purchase at the concession stand and through Venmo.
Police said Basnet caused the acident after speeding over 100 mph in a 45 mph zone.
A blood test allegedly found Basnet's BAC to be at .308%, three times higher than the legal limit
Basnet is currently being held at Dauphin County Prison. Initially, he was given a $100,000 bail, but that has since been denied due to the "severity of the charges."

I recently watched a movie on Netflix— “Crash”. Very similar and after a jury trial she was found guilty of murder.
He needs all of his organs removed for people who could use them.
Then, his carcass should be thrown over the Wall.
A search into Basnet found that his Ohio driver’s license is currently suspended and has 16 driving under suspension convictions and 10 DUI arrests with five DUI convictions since 2015, police said.
Part him out and throw him out?
