Karen Bass will escape being asked under oath about her actions leading up to The Palisades Fire at the trial of the man accused of starting the blaze which destroyed the beachfront enclave and killed 12.
The trial against Uber driver Jonathan Rinderknecht started Monday with jury deliberations, where Judge Anne Hwang read out the witness list including dozens of names.
But the embattled Los Angeles mayor, who it currently in a tight reelection fight, was not mentioned. Prosecutors claim Rinderknecht ignited the most expensive wildfire in US history, killing 12 people, torching thousands of homes and causing $150 billion in damages in January 2025.

Fury?
As in voting her back in?
I think you mean Frauding her back in.
Bass and NewSCUM should have been charged as co conspirators to 12 counts of first degree murder. They burned the Palisades to the ground deliberately in order to fill it with low income housing that way they can both claim they solved the housing crisis in this city. Also, the law here is that property taxes you pay based on what you paid for your home at the time of purchase, NOT what its worth today..so easy peasy, burn these multi million dollars down which might have been purchased 30 yrs ago, they have to rebuild and if its worth 3 mil thats the value your property taxes will be taxed
Whatever it means, the fury is meaningless.
Isn’t she the one who didn’t fill the hydrants with water?
Does she care?
Of course not, she’s cruising to another term.
Thinkin exactly the same thing-
Election fraud is putting her back in.
NBC NEWS SAYS HIS PUNISHMENT CAN ONLY BE 5 YEARS IN PRISON......
So bonkers, she'll probably win in a landslide.
Kalifornistan is a failed state. What an utter disgrace.
Not by real votes from citizens, but through fraud.
