If even thomas wont slap it down, it’s probably a goner
I'm sure he declined to rule immediately on it, to forego the usual attacks from RATS and their media cronies.
I think its going to be fine but he wants to show that he’s impartial
Give them the rope, they will hang themselves and more precedent will be set.
I agree.
Other justuses busy?
Justice Thomas is the justice assigned to make swift decisions on urgent matters for that geographical area
Nine judicial districts. Nine Supreme Court justices, one assigned to each of the districts.
Each justice has certain parts of the country where they are responsible for handling emergency applications.
The Eleventh Circuit (Alabama, Florida, Georgia) falls under Justice Thomas:

I don't believe AJ Thomas would let that weigh in his decision making.
Thank you.
Thank you.
The title and content of the X don’t match.
He hasn’t declined a damn thing. He was asked to rule by a certain date and has given the Plaintiffs suing Alabama a chance to respond. That response is due on that very date.
He is giving the Plaintiff a chance to be heard before he responds.
They will. With the VRA plaintiffs’ response, both parties will be on record. That will provide a valid procedural basis for quick action by the Court.
BREAKING: The Missouri Supreme Court has just UPHELD the state’s new 7R-1D Congressional map, allowing it to go in effect for the 2026 midterms
So that’s a seat lost by Democrats.
Didn’t Thomas blast Roberts for not even hearing the case?
I don’t buy this.
“I guess still up in the air. I was hoping the SCOTUS would have curb stomped this immediately.”
