The European Commission found the treatment of the Gaza flotilla activists shown in a video released by Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir is "completely unacceptable", a spokesperson said on Wednesday.
"Every detained person must be treated with safety, dignity and according to international law," spokesperson Anouar El Anouni said in a post on X. "We call on the Israeli government to ensure the protection and dignified treatment of these activists, including several EU citizens," he added.
Israeli police forced activists who were aboard a Gaza-bound aid flotilla to kneel on the ground in rows with their hands tied behind their backs while Ben-Gvir looked on, drawing criticism from foreign leaders and even from inside Israel's own government.

Gaza Flotilla members Pronouns are Chum / Shark Bait
These sound like standard detain/arrest procedures. Kneel, put your hards behind your head, get cuffed, then taken to a booking and given a meal and some water. Not inhumane. Totally normal in all 1st world countries when a criminal is apprehended.
Gaza is not an independent country. Israel controls the borders. There are reasons Gaza is not an independent country that have nothing to do with Israel preventing it. Gaza and the West Bank rulers don’t want to declare independence. It comes with too much responsibilities and a lot of peril. That is why Arafat walked away from a deal nearly 30 years ago. Not because it was a bad deal, but just means renouncing their claim on Israeli sovereign territory.
They should be arrested for stupidity alone.
