A transgender athlete in California so dominated the state finals that it brought protest and outrage from fans and parents in attendance.
It also brought a very unusual move from event officials.
AB Hernandez, 17, a senior at Juniper Valley High School, took first place in the girls’ long jump, high jump, and triple jump during this weekend’s California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section finals.
The ill feelings toward Hernandez were obvious, not just from protesters and parents but also from female competitors who seemed to avoid the trans athlete after the win.
Having evidently anticipated the backlash and, potentially, the event’s outcome, tournament officials handed gold medals to the female runner-up competitors.
In all, eight gold medals were awarded to the female athletes who finished second behind Hernandez.
Some female athletes declined to be seen next to Hernandez at all.
Malia Strange of Shadow Hills High School, whom Hernandez beat by two feet in the triple jump, no-showed on the podium during the medal ceremony.
The parents of 17-year-old Olivia Viola, a female athlete, wore shirts that read, “Protect Girls Sports.”

8 gold medals - sort of like having 15 or 20 valedictorians in a high school graduation. Expanding the T-Ball award concept to the next level.
cowards ...
They deserve the poopshow they currently find themselves a part of, all of them. “Oft evil will shall evil mar.” And it couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of assclowns.

Uh, no, not you. Or your Mom, Sister, Daughter or Auntie...
HER! That Woman over there... the one with a DICK.
In before the pictures of Macho Man Randy Savage from South Park.
Disgusting.
Trans persons should be involuntarily committed and held in custodial psychiatric confinement.
I was watching FNC last night and they were covering the evidence of fraud, and the depth of the fraud, with few if any fraudsters having been jailed. In fact, many people in this country, I won’t call them Americans, are outraged that the fraud is being found, and Nick Shirley is getting death threats from those scumbags.
I sat and wondered how we got to a place where hating this country is celebrated. It angers me, and if I were a little younger, I’d likely do some things that aren’t quite legal.
But that’s what we’re seeing here, people who hate this country, who hate the likes of me, doing things to damage our lifestyle.
Mental patient Hernandez
Good call; leave those in denial about their mental illness to the professionals and first transponders.
Some “bold” decision by butt. The girls should have thrown their medals at the organizers and walked out. And Miss Priss needs his ass kicked by a girl.
Bold would have been telling the dude pretending to be a woman that he was ineligible to compete against actual women.
Men have significantly more upper body strength than women, due to male-only testosterone which creates muscle mass.
Studies indicating women possess about 50%–60% of the upper body strength of men. This difference is more pronounced in the upper body than in the lower body, where women’s strength is roughly 60%–70% of men’s.
Men generally have larger muscle mass in the upper body and a higher proportion of Type II muscle fibers, which are crucial for strength.
first transponders..............🙄
They should have all refused to compete against him instead.....knowing the outcome. If that happened everywhere this crap would stop. Those girls all need to grow some juevos of their own and just say no.
Preaching to the choir, but well stated.
Wonder how many of these girls’ parents are Democrat voters?
Rouge and lipstick do not make a man a woman.
