Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy is facing a serious challenge for his seat, five years after voting to convict Donald Trump on impeachment charges following the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. Trump has endorsed Rep. Julia Letlow, but the field also includes well-known state Treasurer John Fleming. If no candidate gets majority support, the top two vote-getters will advance to a primary runoff. Whoever emerges from the Republican contest will be heavily favored in the general election.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

Cassidy is gone! Two other candidates advance to the June 27 run-off. Who knew that grandstanding for the deep state had its consequences?

Good riddance to that pissant jerk. Now Kentucky needs to step up and remove the retard Massie, and take Beshear, too. Texas, you’ve got your work cut out removing your tick, Cornyn.

Casssidy is not the only GOP traitor. Murkowski continues to get reelected via the RCV swindle. It all started when they framed Stevens.

Cassidy has conceded.

“Bill Cassidy has conceded defeat in Louisiana’s Republican Senate primary, acknowledging his loss to Rep. Julia Letlow and State Treasurer John Fleming, who will advance to a June 27 runoff.”

What a sweet victory over this traitor.

Massie is the most constitutionally-oriented Member of Congress.

Massie is the poster boy for why Libertarians have been on the ballot for well over a half century and have never won a significant office except when the run as Republicans. They are more interested in bragging about ideological purity than in the dirty business of actually governing. Their biggest thrill is when they siphon off enough votes from gullible conservatives to throw close elections to Democrats. Massie has done exactly that in a few close congressional votes.

Well said!

When you campaign for an office in a legislative body by definition the job requires negotiation and compromise to get something done. If you're not going to do that don't bother running. You're running for personal ego reasons! A 75% libertarian solution is better then a zero one. Even a 20% solution is better then none. The goal is to move the ball. Moving it incrementally moves the ball! If you insist on acting like that isn't true you end up stuck in a little corner screeching about your principles. More crackpot then legislator!

I’m still for Fleming. Hope he doesn’t pull out of the race, but I can’t see Cassidy voters bolting to Fleming in the runoff. So there is probably no path for a Fleming victory.

Like hell, Massie is a back stabbing traitor and it’s not about Trump.

Here is a good opinion piece on Cassidy and the multiple times he betrayed conservatives.

https://patriot.tv/bill-cassidy-was-never-going-to-survive-his-own-record/

I liked this paragraph:

“The modern UniParty senator operates on a calculation so transparent it can be diagrammed. Vote with the Democratic caucus often enough between elections to keep the editorial boards friendly and the lobbyist class fed. Float bipartisan trial balloons on entitlements, on guns, on amnesty. Join the gang. Sign the framework. Then, six months out from the primary, dust off the conservative branding, schedule a rally, and trust that the base will either forget or conclude that the alternative is worse.”
