A top Virginia Democrat's office is being raided by the FBI on Wednesday morning.
The federal agency raided the office of Virginia Senate President Pro Tempore L Louise Lucas in Portsmouth, Virginia on Wednesday per Fox News.
Fox also reported that this action was in relation to a 'major corruption probe,' adding that the 'FBI is serving multiple search warrants, approved by a federal judge, at her office and a next-door cannabis dispensary.'
Lucas was captured arriving on the scene as the FBI searched her office, per a live broadcast from the event.
Lucas told reporters on the scene that she did not know the reason for the raid.
Corruption allegations were the reason for the raid, per Fox 5 DC.
The Senate President Pro Tem was a key advocate of Virginia's 10-1 congressional map redistricting push.
Although Lucas and Governor Abigail Spanberger are both Democrats, they are not necessarily the best of friends.
Spanberger's Chief of Staff sued Louise Lucas' Marketing Director earlier this year, and Lucas was reluctant to endorse Spanberger in her 2025 gubernatorial race.
Lucas had previously been skeptical of Spanberger’s candidacy as she was a top backer of encouraging Virginia Congressman Bobby Scott, a black Democrat, to run for the post instead.
This is a breaking news story and will be updated.

Was hoping this was Minnesota, upon reading the headline.
Maybe next time.
She’s a dem. In today’s climate that’s reason enough right there
didnt do nothing
Always the small fish ...
Are you kidding? This is the woman who gave us redistricting in Virginia. It’s all her. If they succeed it *might* mean all-impeachments, all-the-time starting in January 2027.
Understand the bigger picture.
“Din-do-nuffin”
Yeah - small fish. Silly little things like around-the-clock impeachments. Nothing to see here...
Interesting. I only heard of her busting on Spanberger. I wonder if the CIA asset dropped a dime on her.
The Dems will throw the “small fish” and the blacks under the bus but protect the bigger fish up the food chain.
She is a black woman who supported a black man over a white women for governor. Race is everything for Democrats.
Pay a percentage bonus to the Democrat insiders who come foward to provide evidence of the fraud schemes and offer them immunity from prosecution, witness protection etc for their testimony and evidence against the Democrat office holders. Suspect there are many nervous players who would like to deal.
As a Hampton Roads resident, WTF took so long?
Looks like Louizee just got her first Spamburger for breakfast. A political system made up of women scorned is going to be hell on the voters.
.........and a next-door cannabis dispensary..............
Thank you!!
Pull a ‘Fani’ and claim they are afraid of black powerful women and want to destroy her.
Victim Card # 231
“Virginia Senator Louise Lucas watched stunned as agents tore through her office - as well as a neighboring cannabis dispensary she co-owns in Portsmouth, around 20 miles west of Virginia Beach, on Wednesday.”
Maybe it’s her pot business that’s the problem.

They’re likely removing evidence to make sure it never sees a a prosecutor’s office - like they did with the evidence at Epstein’s island.
