A Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) mechanical engineering contractor was arrested Monday for reportedly threatening to murder President Trump and using his work computer to search how to plan the assassination.

— R A W S A L E R T S (@rawsalerts) May 5, 2026 35-year-old Dean DelleChiaie of New Hampshire was charged with communicating an interstate threat, appearing in court on Tuesday.
One internet search DelleChiaie made on his FAA computer was about how to get a gun into a federal facility, according to prosecutors.
Then, on April 21, the suspect sent a message from his personal email with a subject line titled, “Contact the President,” writing, “I, Dean DelleChiaie, am going neutralize/kill you — Donald John Trump — because you decided to kill kids — and say that it was War — when in reality — it is terrorism. God knows your actions and where you belong.”
Three months prior, DelleChiaie was questioned by police and U.S. Secret Service agents after learning of the searches on his work computer where he wrote, “I am going to kill Donald John Trump,” sought information about previous assassination attempts against the president and what percentage of Americans want him dead.
The apparently homicidal FAA employee also searched for the whereabouts of Vice President J.D. Vance’s home and names of his children.
The authorities were notified after DelleChiaie asked the FAA IT department to delete his search history.
Secret Service Special Agent Nathaneal Gamble said the mechanical engineer was “remorseful” during a Feb. 3 interview at his home.
The arrest comes just more than a week after Cole Tomas Allen ran into the hotel where the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner was taking place and tried to shoot President Trump or others in the MAGA movement.
DelleChiaie could serve up to five years in prison and be forced to pay a $250,000 fine, if convicted.
