UK Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has sharply criticized the government’s handling of rising antisemitism, describing the situation as a “national emergency" and calling for immediate action, including a ban on pro-Palestinian marches, as reported in the Daily Mail.
Her remarks come as Prime Minister Keir Starmer convenes senior officials, police representatives, and public figures in Downing Street for a “whole of society" discussion on the recent surge in attacks targeting Jewish communities throughout the UK. The meeting follows a stabbing incident in Golders Green last week, which left two Jewish men injured and heightened concerns over public safety.
Badenoch warned that British Jews are increasingly being “singled out, threatened and harassed in ways that should shame everyone in public life." She rejected attempts to frame the situation as routine tension between groups, emphasizing that the trend reflects “targeted hatred" that is intensifying.

Censorship is never the answer, I want to know who the jerks are.
Along that line, why not ban wearing kefiyas as a mask. Show your face. Same for Antifa and the KKK, or even ninja-impersonators at birthday parties. It’s supposedly illegal in some states in the US, or at least in NY, but not enforced.
It looks like it’s too late to me. The UK has imported lots of muslims. If Churchill was still around, he’d have told them that importing muslims is a bad idea.
Just take the most violent of them, put them on a rickety ship and ship them out to the Black Sea and let a Russian submarine do the rest. Worked for the Struma.
Then deport the rest back to their country of origin, a shipload at a time.
This is the problem with both “major” (or at least formerly major) parties in the UK. There have been laws supported by both parties that have been the basis for censorship and banning protest that were enacted in the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s. They have bipartisan support. Labour used them most recently to jail people for online posts but the Tories supported them while they were in power. Now Kemi Badenoch is signaling that she will use them if the Tories ever get back into power. And people in the US scratch their heads and wonder how the UK turned into a “fascist” state that bans free speech. The UK never had free speech.
The most appalling thing is that she believes this is a “solution”. Just shut everyone up, and everything will be fine.

It’s been with us for some time. Just arrest the miscreants, and let them have their stupid protests until they miscreate, but no masks of any kind, not burkhas, kefiyas wrapped over the face, or balaclavas.
That’s where I find myself as well. In Toronto, a Jewish man was given a Nazi salute from some Palestinian protestors. He charged on over to a police officer and demanded they do something about it. The cops ignored him. I sympathize with Jews affected by this hate, but the solution should not be silencing others.
The olden days JDL Chaya Squad would have beaten the living sh!t out of the saluter and cheerfully gone to jail with the television cameras rolling. But most people cannot live like that. And there is free speech. It’s a thing, even in Canada.
What gets really alarming is when a gang of pro Palestinians beat up on a man with a yarmulka or stab him, and the police are watching and do nothing.
