Independent voter here. I gave up on ALL parties, as none of them align with my beliefs. I tend to vote for the person, although I judge more harshly those candidates with a (D) next to their name. I also try to detect those with (R) next to their name who are not honest about their stances.

I would be more happy if redistricting was based on the number of citizens, of valid voters, and not total number of people. Also, I prefer tight boundaries that are regular polygons, instead of plots that have tree route like appendages, or look they are the result of slant drilling.
