Family, friends and supporters of Virginia Giuffre held an emotional memorial vigil in Washington DC marking the first anniversary of her death.
With the White House in the background, her brother Sky Roberts spoke of how his sister, a prominent accuser of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, had turned "pain into purpose".
The event was held ahead of the arrival of the King and Queen in Washington DC on a state visit.
Giuffre's lawyer Sigrid McCawley repeated calls for the King to meet Epstein survivors, saying it was a "missed opportunity".
McCawley said she appreciated the concerns about the King not wanting to jeopardise any legal proceedings by holding a meeting, but she thought survivors would have understood if he listened without having to say anything

By virtue of her marriage to Charles, she is Queen Camilla, Queen Consort of the UK and the other Commonwealth realms,
She remains Queen Consort...not the same status as Queen Elizabeth.
King Charles didn’t have sex with their legally aged, mentally ill sister.... His brother did.
These publicity hungry people have already received millions, lost their sister to mental illness and they just can’t go away... How much more do they want?
A meeting with the King? For what purpose... He already knows that his bro is a terrible person. He stripped him of all his titles, kicked him out of one of his homes and has essentially shunned him... There is nothing more he can do.
Mourn your sister in peace and quiet... You’re just as bad as Harry and Meg... They want a peaceful life and to be left alone... Except they keep hanging around like a bad smell and they won’t go away.
Where is the proof that Andrew even did what he was accused of?
Whatever proof existed died with her... Pretty sure this poor girl thought that she would be the next Meghan Markle... When her Prince didn’t return her calls, she likely figured it out.. He was more of a frog than he was a Prince.
There was plenty of time for her to provide actual proof before she died.

Her family and their thirst for attention is rather distasteful and vulture like... If it she were my family I’d be avoiding the limelight and mourning her loss.
