When the Confederate statues came down it was a sign of trouble. That is a sign the tipping point has been exceeded; the state will capsize like Guam.
The smart money started moving out right then.
I left Maryland for Indiana several years ago. It might not have been the best decision I have ever made in my life, but it certainly is in the top three!
My wife is from the Eastern peninsula, about 10 minutes from the Chesapeake Bay. Beautiful country but no way she would move back.
My sister and BIL left about 9 months ago year after 45 years in MD. She was a teacher around Baltimore and was exposed to the awful underbelly of leftism in the education system.
No worries,,,,,,Maryland is actively replacing us with illegal aliens.
Yep, we have been in MD forever, love the Chesapeake Bay, but we built a second home in SC a few years ago, with plans to leave in the next few years. Moore is trying to be the Gavin Newscum of the east coast AND, doing a good job of it. Taxes, far left policies, wokeness everywhere. And it’s the same old scenario, they wonder where all the tax revenue went when people like us leave as soon as they can.
The place ain’t getting any pinker in the future. People don’t learn.
We escaped Maryland, THE Freak state, after about 28 years of “living “ there. It is an utterly hopeless LIB/woke cesspool. Escaping there was our best decision ever.
I had to move to Maryland 16 years ago for a job. Our lan was to stay for five years then get out of this leftist utopia. Then I got involved in some other activities and also got really good at my job.
We’re still here and honestly can’t wait to leave. Retirement is two years out. If we lan it right, we move out the same day.
Berkeley East.
An exact reason why Sen. Dirksen was right in 1964. We’re seeing single cities (Washington) take over two states to the point one city controls both states. This is not what the Founding Fathers wanted. We are effectively creating 20 at large districts for one city in the House.
I moved here 22 years ago when I married sauropod.
I lived in New York then, so I naively thought I was fleeing liberal territory.
Out of the frying pan right into the fire.
I once lived in Montgomery County Maryland and went to a Lutheran church in DC.
That was in another era....
