Know not context of photo (especially in the ME where weapons are hidden among innocents, and terrorists are masters at manipulating the media), but have known many Jews. Some great friends of mine. I can understand a bit about “complicated” feelings Jews may have about Christianity, especially after. Reading extensively about the Holocaust, and realizing it was not a completely unusual unknown of anti-Jewish hostility appearing in Europe. Hundreds of years of savage pogroms etc. Course the soldier could be a bigot,thug, maniac or just plain nut.

There were reports that hundreds of Arab Muslims joined the IDF after the Hamas Massacre as they knew the nature of their neighbors and felt a vigorous defense was needed.

They key point is “bow down to them”. Statues of saints are not idols to be worshipped.
