MARGARET BRENNAN: I want to ask you, as a Democrat, there was this extraordinary vote this past week in the Senate. Forty Senate Democrats tried to block a U.S. weapons sale to Israel, and that adds to this growing rift we have seen between your party and Benjamin Netanyahu. Do you think Democrats are going to come to regret this break in the alliance?
HOCHSTEIN: So I hope that it's not a break in the alliance. I think this, what it really demonstrates is for the last several years, Prime Minister Netanyahu has sacrificed Israel's interest in the United States. The most important asset the Israel has is not its military or its intelligence. It's the relation, it's the special relationship with the United States that has been bipartisan for so many decades. He has destroyed that because he has decided to become not just part of the Republican Party, but he's decided to become just an appendage of Donald Trump. And so every Democrat now sees, if you want to be Trump, great, if we're anti-Trump, then by de facto, we are against you. I think this is a lot to do with Bibi Netanyahu and his extremist right-wing government, and not to do with Israel. Look, you have half of Israel is voting against Bibi. So I think this- Democrats should be aligning with Israel, not with Bibi.

Terminal TDS.
I watched probably 50 seconds of Sunday morning news tv in weeks. This is the exact interview that I caught. This douche was dripping with arrogance - as a former, senior junior energy adviser for Biden. He bent his mind around to make this a defeat for Trump. Why he would call the Israel Prime Minister “BiBi” when he seems to not respect him is a part of it, too. Insider talker. The tv guide said that AG Eric Holder had been on the same show today, too. I wonder what he added for the good of the world?
Same here. I didn’t get Holder.
The Dims are not about right or wrong policy, they are all about what to them are “right” and “wrong” persons. They, the Dims, have NEVER liked Bibi, as being Leftists, they merely follow the Left in Israel. Israel, vis-a-vis Gaza could be doing everything that Bibi has done, and if it were a “Lib” in Israel in charge there, there would be no anti-Israel brigade for MOST Dims, minus the minority of Muslims among the Dims. Bibi to them, without Trump in office, would still be Israel’s “Trump” to the Dims.
Not familiar with Hochstein.
RATS are all for supporting criminals and terrorists, but not so much supporting the victims of criminals and terrorists.
They may be anti TRUMP, but shouldn’t they REALLY be ‘Anti-TRUMPism’ instead??
Once again - I shudda read ahead...
I had the opportunity to meet Bibi Netanyahu, twice, when he was making the rounds of American evangelical churches to hit them up for money between his PM terms.
His evolving statements and outright misleading claims made me a skeptic of both his motives and honor.
True
Anthony Blinken’s Naftogas stooge.
Hochstein is a former Obama and Biden staffer who was also an advisor to House Democrats on Foreign policy. I don’t think many people know who he is. I didn’t. What he’s doing now is unclear. He’s probably a lobbyist or consultant. If he’s the guy I described, I wonder why anybody bothers to put him on television.
Update: Managing Partner of “TWG Global Holdings, LLC ... an American multinational conglomerate holding company with headquarters in Chicago and New York City.” Big connections with the oil and gas industry.
