I have grave doubts about how much control the Iranian government has over the IRGC, three days, or how much control the IRGC has over its local commanders in the field.

Nah we cant nuke 90 million people, the majority of the Iranian people are good people who want freedom, they are being hung everyday. I read a story yesterday about a young woman about to be hung in Tehran, but she’s a virgin, and virgins in the Muslim tradition go to heaven, so they are going to rape her before killing her so she goes to hell, this is what we are dealing with in Iran..you cant negotiate with that, you just cant

And those can still serve a purpose, even if it’s just screwing with oil markets and/or trying to embarrass the US.
The question is was there really an attack on either or both of those Indian ships?
Nuke the island. Then use nukes to clear out the sides of the strait.
And if those ships weren’t really attacked, why did the captain or captains lie?
Merchant sailors are a funny lot. If a seagull craps on them they call it an attack. Overpaid pampered princes.
