Trump: Iran Has “Agreed To Everything,” Will Give Up Their Uranium And Stop Funding Hamas And Hezbollah
The Yeshiva World ^ | 17 April 2026 | Staff

President Donald Trump said Iran has “agreed to everything” in negotiations with the United States, including a plan to remove its enriched uranium stockpile, but left key questions unanswered about how such an operation would be carried out.

In a phone interview with CBS News, Trump insisted the arrangement would not require U.S. ground troops, even as he described an American role in physically retrieving the material.

“No. No troops,” Trump said. “We’ll go down and get it with them, and then we’ll take it.”

Pressed on who exactly would handle the operation, the president offered only a vague answer: “our people,” suggesting a joint U.S.-Iran effort once a formal agreement is in place.

“Our people, together with the Iranians, are going to work together to go get it,” Trump said, adding that the uranium would ultimately be transported to the United States.

Iran quickly disputed Trump’s claim. “Iran’s enriched uranium is not going to be transferred anywhere,” Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei told state TV.

If Trump’s claim is accurate, the remarks point to a potentially sweeping — and unconventional — framework for dismantling Iran’s nuclear stockpile, one that appears to rely on direct coordination between longtime adversaries. But the lack of specificity surrounding logistics, oversight and verification is likely to draw scrutiny from lawmakers and nonproliferation experts, particularly given the technical and security challenges involved in handling enriched uranium.

Trump also said Iran has agreed to halt support for proxy terrorist groups, including Hezbollah and Hamas — a longstanding U.S. demand — though he did not provide details on enforcement mechanisms or timelines.

The president indicated that negotiations are ongoing, with U.S. and Iranian officials expected to meet this weekend. He added that the U.S. would maintain its blockade measures until a deal is finalized.

“We’ll continue the blockade until we get it done,” Trump said.

The comments come amid conflicting reports about what Washington may be willing to offer in return. Axios previously reported that the administration was weighing the release of up to $20 billion in frozen Iranian assets as part of a potential agreement tied to Tehran’s nuclear material.

Trump flatly denied that claim.

“No, we are not paying 10 cents,” he said.

The emerging contours of the deal — if they hold — would mark a dramatic shift in U.S.-Iran relations, but the absence of concrete details leaves open fundamental questions about how, and whether, such an agreement could be executed.

From a CBS News Interview with Trump. Key points:

1. Trump states Iran has agreed to removal of Uranium. The agreement is disputed by an Iranian source not directly involved in the negotiation.

2. Americans would be directly invovled in the removal process, but not troops.

3. Trump also said Iran has agreed to halt support for proxy terrorist groups, including Hezbollah and Hamas

4. Trump said the USA is not paying "once cent" for the Uranium. The claim to the contrary is fake news.

5. Would maintain blockade (unclear if maintained until deal is done or uranium is removed).

They have never honored an agreement that didn’t coincide with the long term goal of the elimination of the US and Israel. I don’t think this one will be any different.

Maybe he’ll send Kristi Noem in to get it. She’s not busy these days.

They were never forced to accept a major agreement like this one or forced to honor any agreement.

This one may be different. We will see.

They were honoring the JCPOA agreement before Trump tore it up and IAEA inspections were happening reguarly.

Any deal now will be worse than the original and more important Iran its now a major regional power controlling the Persian Gulf. The real negative economic consequences have not happened yet but are coming. The Gulf will not be able to resume normalcy for at least 2 years. So in effect there will be shortages if things, like Helium used in medical imaging machines, need an MRI you will wait 6 months in the near future.

Their air force, navy, leadership, underground missile bases and their military industry had never been obliterated before either. I think that they’re going to behave. It’s going to take them decades to recover.

Sounds good, but they cannot be trusted. Finish the job, and rtemove the regime while they are severely down. Put the out. therwise, you are giving them the opportunity t rise agaion, just as they arose when they defeated the Shah.

This is true.

Why would anyone honor agreement with clowns like Obammy and Joey's autopen in charge?

This is agreement is only as good as whoever occupies the WH.

Trump keeps claiming that Putin would have never invaded the Ukraine for not the coup d'etat.

I've heard no one credibly refute that claim.

Well I don’t believe one word Trump says so I will have to see what really happens.

I will not be surprised if the War resumes after the latest ceasefire is over, Trump has to have some sort of win for his Ego. So look for the possibility of one last great bombing campaign where the U.S. and Israel use up every bit of the last of the Munitions Supplies, then it will be over.

Then we pack up ,take our 17 ship Naval Blockade, our limping Carriers and Land Forces and skulk back home. Leaving the World Economy in the worst shape it could be and wish it was Feb. 27th again and it never happened.
