US intelligence indicates China is preparing to deliver new air defense systems to Iran within the next few weeks, CNN reported late on Friday, citing three people familiar with recent intelligence assessments.
According to intelligence outlined in the CNN report, Beijing is preparing to transfer shoulder-fired anti-air missile systems known as MANPADs.
These systems pose an asymmetric threat to low-flying US military aircraft, as demonstrated during the five-week war, and they could continue to do so if the ceasefire breaks down.
Two sources informed CNN that there are signs Beijing is attempting to route shipments of the weaponry through third countries to conceal their true origin.
The report also highlighted how Iran might be using the ceasefire to replenish certain weapon systems with assistance from key foreign partners.

Sounds like it's time for a TOTAL QUARANTINE of Iran.
For every one you deliver to Iran we will deliver 100 to Taiwan?
Deliver them, how? Through the Strait which we now control? And just how will Iran pay for this military junk— too little and too late.
China is showing their OWN hand (since Venezuela)— they need cash to pay for... oil which they are burning up daily.
By ship- they can be stopped- sanctioned Iran shipments. We don’t need to sink them... just run them in circles. Class is in session.

Not if they never get there. What 3rd party country would aid China— not Vietnam. Maybe they use their new bragged about Belt & Road railway (with 50-50! bridges that all are painted as targets) to cut that method.

It is a good question. Pakistan is becoming pretty closely aligned with China, and has a border with Iran. We know the Pakistan ISI has no qualms helping kill Americans.

Be a shame if the delivery was to ‘fail’.
Not surprising.
We’re replenishing too. And locating targets. And stirring up internal turmoil.
But CNN gonna take the side of the enemy, as usual.
That’s why they keep stalling. Maybe we should be bombing China.
If they deliver, it would likely be by land through Pakistan or Afghanistan. Of course, those borders are within reach of ours, and Israel’s air forces and missiles so any delivery in bulk would probably be taken out about 4 miles into Iran.
Obviously. Every road and railway from Pakistan needs to be cratered if they aren't already.
An hour later they will have to deliver another one.
By air to Pakistan then over road to Iran. But I think China does this to evaluate their air defense systems against the two best AFs in the world. One of which is a likely opponent in the future.
