A fragile ceasefire agreement in the war began with bombs continuing to explode in Lebanon and contradictory statements about whether Iran will continue to control the critical Strait of Hormuz energy choke point.
But the most likely scenarios moving forward involve either Iran exerting more control over global energy markets than it did before the fighting started in March, or the current tenuous agreement merely delaying another military escalation by days or weeks, geopolitical and energy experts said.

- Complete destruction of Iran's nuclear program and recovery of enriched U-235
- Complete destruction of Iran's ability to project power beyond its' own borders
These must be accomplished to forestall a new Dark Ages of Islamic terror.
Our so called "allies" need to hear...it's us, or them.
Binary choice.
Much worse off...
We’ll see doomer
Would the world be better off if the Iranian psychos had the bomb?
Escalation is just delayed. Trump knows what he is doing. Some folks have a hard time understanding what kind of lunatic zealots we are at war with. Trump knows them. Trump is going on record as having offered the carrot. Just my opinion.
Correct — no enriched uranium, no long-range missiles, no terrorist proxies. Regime change is gravy, but if their teeth are yanked out, it’ll probably happen sooner than later.
As long as the Iranian rulers may live. Sort of like a marriage vow.
It takes a few months to cripple The Iranian zealots and to get them to conform with what they must conform to. It’s been one month or so, we’re all impatient, but it’s actually moving along pretty quickly given the size of their operations and army.
The Fog of War is an interesting Rorschach Test of who people are here. Watch!
“Gloom, despair, and agony on me
Deep, dark depression, excessive misery
If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all
Gloom, despair, and agony on me”
I’ve been watching the military aircraft traffic into Israel since the beginning of the war. Nothing has changed since the “ceasefire” was announced.
This tells me that no one believes that we’re done. We’re rearming, and restocking.
delays like this just enable, give opportunity for Communist China, North Korea, maybe also Russia to figure out new ways to aid and abet (and resupply) the Iranian dictatorial regime. The net result is more lives lost, needlessly.
Let’s get the job done now. And watch carefully that the basturds don’t get a chance to rearm, resupply, or redeploy.
The Iranian threat was not going away. It was becoming stronger. In the short term you are worse off when you confront evil. Yet the sooner you successfully confront evil the better.
Reagan confronted the evil empire. Financing the military buildup cost us resources that could have been put to other purposes. Yet in the end it was worth it.
I think you are right. It seems like Trump is showing infinite patience in the Ukraine-Russia war, while mostly disengaging the US. Iran will continue to make itself obnoxious locally and globally. They can’t help themselves.
I agree, but right now Iran has the strait by the short and curlies by threatening to bomb ships that don’t get their “permission” or pay a fee.
Why can’t we eliminate their ability to bomb the strait? Because a ship is slow and vulnerable, even with an escort, and Iran can use cheap and agile drones and bombs that are almost impossible to stop.
Even if Iran is bombed back to the “stone age” they can still launch these things. Small and easy to hide. Not to mention the ChiComs would be only too eager to resupply Iran with munitions.
Not sure how we get past this but I sure hope someone figures it out before this situation drags on for weeks and months.

How is that going to work for them after the pipelines are finished by Saudi Arabia and UAE to by pas the straight? How is that going to work when Venezuela is upping their production.
Truly these types of authors are just not very good at reasoning things out. Seriously challenged in the critical thinking area.
Iran will never attack Israel because Israel will simply nuke them.
If Iran were to attack New York City, is it really any of our business?
The World will be worse off
1) The Dems who are the greatest threat to America were on their way to becoming the Whigs. By going to war, Trump almost assures they will win big in 2026 and 2028. Mass migration and Amnesty and one party rule to follow.
2) Like all our so called wars, afterwards millions of Muslim “refugees” from Iran will flood Western Civilization where they will be welcomed with open arms by the left and RINOs and they immediately will go on welfare, rape the native women and set up Shira and no-go zones. More Dearborn Michigans and cities where the call to prayer will be heard daily.
