Governor Kathy Hochul’s once-commanding lead over Republican Bruce Blakeman has eroded by half in three months, collapsing from 26 points in January to just 13 points, according to the latest Siena Research Institute poll.
The result marked a 7-point tightening from February, as independents shifted toward Blakeman even as Hochul’s favorability and job approval ratings held steady. […]
The state has not elected a Republican governor since 2002, but the Siena poll showed movement toward Blakeman for the second consecutive month, signaling potential vulnerability for Hochul if the trend persists into the budget season and broader campaign. …

Just..... 13 points.
If these trends continue... aaay! [/Disco Stu]
If Blakeman loses by only as much as Zeldin did, which he won’t, he’ll have done fantastic.
Kathy told all the rich people to move to Florida. They did. Now she wants to delay the global warming scam out further in the future. And the commie RATS won’t talk to her about a budget. Quite the pickle
So we all gather together to fight for the rino opponent-worth it?
I go to the laundromat and use the nice old machines which actually clean my clothes...unlike the HE machines in my apartment complex.
This is EXACTLY what communist AWFL Kathy and the NY communists want...
NY is about to collapse from their green energy fiasco, and there’s nothing they can really do about it. THey want to ensure a Republican’t gets to enherit their messy chaos that’s about to place in order to blame the new person.
GOP should just back out and let em own it.
New York is a top-heavy uniparty state. Its politics are run by woke NY City.
NY’s budget relies on Wall Street taxes and Fed.gov transfers. The top 1% of earners pay 45% of income taxes.
Meanwhile the rest of the state is turning into a cross between Appalachia and East Germany.
Don’t worry, there’s absolutely no chance of the Republican getting elected Governor of NY.
Don’t hold your breath.
She was so vicious, triumphant and contemptuous when she told them to leave.

Screw her and her jacked up face.
What she and her communist democrat ilk did to electricity rates in the state has not gone unnoticed by those that have to try and pay the bills.
NYS Election Commission by a 4-3 vote yesterday denied Blakeman matching funds because of an error when submitting request. Hochul has 20 mill. Blakeman has 1.6 mill. Blakeman’s fat ego got the best of him after his reelection. When he announced Stefanik did not want to get in a primary contest so she withdrew. Blakeman is 71 and well past his best.Hochul wins by 13 and takes 3 or 4 GOP seats with her. The 11 seats GOP won in ‘22 and the 9 they defended gave the GOP the House. Buh Bye
“Hochul wins .... and takes 3 or 4 GOP seats with her. “
GOP minus-1 IN NY? Yes. Minus-2 or more, not so certain.
They already gave back in 2024 much of what they captured, by fluke, in 2022: CD-3 (Santos), CD-4 (D’Esposito), CD-19 (Molinaro), CD-22 (Williams). That last one was gerrymandered away to some extent, but would likely have been lost anyway.
For 2026 Lawler (R) is as good as gone in CD-17 and he knows it, but IMO no other GOP seats are in serious danger as things stand now.
Malliotakis (R) in CD-11 dodged a bullet when a court stopped the attempted Democrat gerrymander which specifically targeted her. That doesn’t means she’s 100% safe because she’s not, but she should be somewhat favored.
The only other possible flips from R to D in NY are CD-1 and CD-2. They are perhaps even less safe than CD-11 but still should be held by Republicans absent some “blue wave”.
There will be one of those, but the question is how big? Big enough to dislodge the two Republicans out towards the end of Long Island? For now I’d say ‘no’, though it may be close and will certainly be closer than usual.
The ICE appearances have not been greeted warmly out East, especially on the North Fork. It’s possible it costs the GOP Dist 1. The wineries bring a lot of people out east and they have lunch or dinner, venture into Greenport and pick up a book at Burtons, a knick knack Lydia’s. Hurt the wineries and every business out there gets hurt and other than the tasting staffs, the actual wine makers, the office guys and the bosses not a single American works the field in any of the wineries. Take a handful away the wineries cut back production. That happens and people lose money. Who gets the blame?
