Pete Hegseth was ‘the first’ to push for war with Iran, Trump reveals: ‘Let’s do it’

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth was “the first” person in the Trump administration to push for war with Iran, the president claimed Monday.

Trump revealed during a public safety roundtable in Memphis, Tenn. that he had surveyed his top military brass about how he should handle the situation, and Hegseth quickly advocated for military action to stop the theocratic regime from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

“I called a lot of our great people. We have great people, and I said, ‘Let’s talk. We got a problem in the Middle East. We have a country known as Iran that, for 47 years, has been just a purveyor of terror, and they’re close to a nuclear weapon,'” Trump recalled.

“Pete, I think you were the first one to speak up. And you said, ‘Let’s do it, because you can’t let them have a nuclear weapon,'” Trump added.

At which point will this goal be achieved, and can we do it without waging a long war with troops on the ground? We already tried bombing their nuclear facilities, which Trump said were completely "obliterated."

It does raise a question. How come it took Trump 47 to do it but Trump 45 did not?

Trump 47 learned from Trump 45’s mistakes. The original SecDef of Trump 45 being one of those mistakes.

Also, Trump 45 was under constant attack starting before he even took office. There’s only so much time in a day, and only so much energy one can muster.

Trump doesn’t have to run for reelection this time.

Trump has been calling for taking down Iran for 40 years.

My theory, Iran had an internal revolt with Trump 47. He Tweeted the regime better not harm them . They were even more brutal than Communist China was at Tienanmen Square. Trump merely kept his promise.

Not much of a war. More like a demolition derby, which I have no problem with.

He and his administration were under investigation from day 1.

Sometimes you see something that is inevitable unless stopped and ended, Iran is that something.

Uless Iran becomes a different kind of country and permanently non-nuclear, then Israel will be destroyed and Islam will become total in control of its current part of the world and the Middle East will become an impenetrable and unmanageable regional islamic base of the world, unified to operate on future Islamic conquests of foreign lands, some through war and some through immigration/population/and terror/war.

China, America, Europe, none are a match for the unending, unrelenting, human rust that is Islam once it reaches a certain level, it must be dealt with constantly and in all ways.

What choice do we have? Should we sit idly by, adopt the Suicide of the West" posture, and rely on their goodwill to not attempt to destroy us someday? Their theology is 100% incompatible with Western culture, and their commitment to evangelize with the sword makes a final showdown unavoidable. Thank God we have a president who understands this and has the courage to defeat this while we still can.

“”””It does raise a question. How come it took Trump 47 to do it but Trump 45 did not?””””

You make it all sound so simple, the politics, elections, governing, checks and balances, political parties and opposition, courts, global situations and alliances lining up, being elected president doesn’t mean he gets a magic wand and his every wish becomes simply a matter of issuing commands to an aide.

When presidents accomplish anything of substance during their term it is a great and magnificent accomplishment and usually a matter of luck and the stars lining up, most of us count our blessings at the successes rather than wonder why our laundry list wasn’t checked off in total, politics is a bloody mess and a struggle against powerful forces, deeply meaningful victories are few and hard won.

Trump 45 was surrounded by mostly {not all} back stabbing pussies that he couldn't trust.

I'm now glad that the demonRATs stole the election of 2020 because now Trump is so much smarter and picked way better people.

Sec. of War Pete Hegseth:

“Let every round find its mark against the enemies of righteousness and our great nation,” Hegseth prayed during the livestreamed service. “Give them wisdom in every decision, endurance for the trial ahead, unbreakable unity, and overwhelming violence of action against those who deserve no mercy.”
