An Iranian ballistic missile strike on a joint US-UK military base in the Chagos Islands has been condemned as 'reckless' by Britain's defence chiefs.
Iran fired two intermediate-range ballistic missiles targeting Diego Garcia in what is thought to be the first strike ever made against the base.

UK hits back ... with strongly worded letter, right?
pretty much all they can do without a navy ...
Yet, libs. Keep saying Iran is no danger
Starman will cut off Welfare to Iranians in the UK ? LOL
Oh my, they condemned it.
Yes. This is boots on the ground phase or it will reconstitute into the very same thing all over again.
Boots on the ground, town to town, for the locals to point out the operatives and where their caches of missiles and launchers are located. Then destroy both. This is not the jungles of Vietnam.
And many Freepers, too. Crazy, isn't it?
And yet, that is a range of approximately 2,358 miles. Almost all European cities are within that range. Yet they refuse to act, or have to be dragged kicking and screaming to act.
The IRGC just staged an attack in London. And they are sad that Iran may have tried to hit DG? The English are weak.
I’m impressed that the Navy shot one of them down. That might be the longest range success of any counter measure.

PANIC: Iran Folds as Trump Cuts London’s Hidden Hand Over Global Oil

Get our FREE Newsletter at https://www.PrometheanAction.com — Barbara Boyd argues that most commentary on the Middle East misses the economic dimension: after U.S. energy independence, Trump is targeting the City of London’s long-standing influence over global energy pricing. She cites Trump’s Truth Social warning to Iran over the Strait of Hormuz, subsequent negotiations, and a five-day extension, contrasting media reactions with what she calls London and Wall Street interests. Boyd says Britain is facing an economic emergency as energy and borrowing costs surge, while Gulf states shift trillions in investment toward the U.S. and a “Board of Peace” focused on development and modern energy. She claims the true Hormuz choke point is London’s marine war-risk insurance, noting Lloyd’s cancellation led to an 81% traffic collapse, and frames current events as a struggle between empire and sovereign nations.
(has been condemned as ‘reckless’
by Britain’s defence chiefs.)
Oh my goodness
‘reckless’
THAT will scare the Islamic Mullahs!
And idiots here think Iran doesn’t have long range ballistic missiles.
We’re saved!
Now the UK’s three-rowboat navy is on its way to deal the Iranians extreme justice...
> pretty much all they can do without a navy ... <
The British Army now has more horses than tanks. So they could always order a cavalry charge.

Yes. I don’t understand, but that is assuming these people on this forum are generally pulling in the same direction that you and I are.
If they aren’t, that certainly is a data point and would be illustrative.
If they are pulling in our direction, that would mean only one of two things: They are ignorant, or they are lying about pulling in the same direction.

Heads I win, tails you lose.
There were those of us who said...
“We shouldn’t be going to war with Iran.”
“The risk is too high.”
“The downside is far greater than the upside (for the U.S.)”
They were not actively targeting us.
We were told by Trump that their nuclear capabilities were destroyed.
They warned us before retaliating during the 12 day war so that we wouldn’t have any casualties.
They were not going to do ANYTHING to us unless we attacked them unprovoked.
Spending one penny or losing one American life is too high a cost and we are already far past that.
If we escape the war without paying hundreds of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars in cost, you will say, “See, that wasn’t so bad.”
If we end up paying hundreds or thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars, you will say, “See, I told you how bad they were. That’s why we had to attack them.”
Heads I win, tails you lose. We should not have been playing the game at all.
We probably shouldn’t, but if we don’t they’ll see right through us.
“UK hits back” with a devastating tersely written letter.
