Congress.gov ^ | 03/27/2025 | Mike Lee

Posted on 03/21/2026 3:04:51 PM PDT by ProgressingAmerica

This bill abolishes the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in three years and directs the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to develop a reorganization plan for the TSA, which is subject to congressional approval.

DHS must submit a reorganization plan for the TSA to Congress within 90 days of the bill's enactment.

The reorganization plan must include

Thank you very much and God bless you.

There is a fight right now over funding TSA agents for airport security, due to other congressional fights.

This bill would definitively solve the problem.

It is absolutely unnecessary for government to have security nationalized. This is something the American people are more than capable of doing without big daddy paternalistic government lording over us all. Airport security is a good thing. Government security is a bad thing.

And it would stop the congressional infighting over funding.

Solve the problem. Abolish.

Is there some reason why all the TSA agents couldn’t be transferred to another agency - say the Postal Service - and then paid out of that budget? At least for the time being?

TSA should be paid by the airports. Add it to the cost to the tickets.

Why should people who never fly anywhere have to fund this? User pay.

So long as the TSA continues to operate, Usama bin Laden won. He upended American life forever.

Considering its risk profile, Israel has an astonishing airline safety record. Before anybody can get on an El Al flight, they have to be interviewed by an experinced interrogator.

If the passenger is an 80-year-old Jewish grandmother, the interview mmight go like this:

I:
Hello, Grandmother, How are you?

G:
I’m well thank you.

I:
Where are you going today, Grandmother?

G:
I’m going to Los Angeles for my third grandson’s brist.

I:
That’s wonderful, Grandmother, have a lovely trip.

No drama, no stress and it takes all of 20 seconds.

But if the passenger is a 23-year-old Arab Muslim with a one-way ticket paid for in Qatari riyals, the interview takes a lot longer and has a much different tone.

Because despite what the ACLU has to say about it, profiling is common sense.

Return airport and airline security back to the airports and airlines as it was before 9-11.

Every time the feral government lays claim to an activity or responsibility it turns to Ca-Ca !!!!!

Look what has happened to our schools and colleges since the federal government got involved.

Consider the disaster of Obamacare and how it has destroyed our health care system!

Look at the damage done to the automobile industry since Obama’s forced restructuring and the federal governments push to force EVs on America.

And the entire “alternative Energy” and “Green New Deal” scams that have proved to be nothing but ways they dreamed up to plunder the federal treasury and enrich politicians, bureaucrats and their friends..

Think how the ferderal government helped develop COVID-19 then mismanaged mismanged the COVID scare and all the damage their ill-conceived policies and rules ccaused. They said they were following the science but now we know they just made things up as they went along Everyday Americans died while the well connected elites got richer.

About the only thing the federal govrnment ever did right was the US military and then they even tried to screw that up with their WOKE policies putting perverts, bun boys, she-men and cross-dressing men in dresses in charge instead of real fighting men.

Airports may use private security. San Francisco and Kansas City are among the 20 airports that don’t use TSA.

That would make those good models for a TSA-less future.

“TSA should be paid by the airports. Add it to the cost to the tickets.”

Uh, that is how it is done, now.
