Chelsea Handler has unloaded on Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife, actress Cheryl Hines, claiming the Brentwood mansion she bought from them for $5.9 million in 2021 was a literal “toxic” dump that she still hasn’t been able to move into.
The comedian revealed the messy saga during a March 5 episode of her podcast, Dear Chelsea. “I bought RFK Jr.’s house in Los Angeles five years ago,” Handler said. “I still have not lived in this house, that’s how f–ed up this house was.”
“The idea that this guy is in charge of the health of our country when he didn’t even have a proper foundation at his house,” she continued.

Well why did she buy it if it was that bad?
I wouldn’t be grumpy, if I could afford to spend $5.9 MILLION on a house, then wait FIVE YEARS before even occupying it. But that’s just me.

Built in 1937, most likely had has Asbestos and should be removed. So Asbestos removal time in LA….. mmmmm when is the Palisades getting it’s permits?

About not having a foundation, there is no mention if the house is on a slab.

Chelsea Handler is a toxic dump
That sounds likely. In the video clip she just talked about it not having a foundation, which isn’t something you blame on the people who didn’t build it. Same thing with asbestos, if that’s what made it so toxic. She’s making it seem like they trashed the place, when they had nothing to do with how the house was built.
And the snotty stuff about how terrible that he works out in jeans. What’s the big deal? Also the snotty part about working out at the cheapest place being a character flaw?
These people are so snotty and sleazy.
And somebody who tore down 3 bedrooms of her house so she wouldn’t have her relatives “overstaying their welcome”.
This is the nasty “comedian” that does nothing but talk about her “vgay”. As gross of a pig as she is I think she is lying about all this.
Seems like she’s trying to make it look like the Kennedy’s lived like squatters when the problem is “old-house-itus”.
Or is it? Reading further:
‘Handler said the problems weren’t discovered until the final stretch of inspections — despite assurances the home had already been renovated. “In the last week of inspection, they came in,” she said, adding she had previously been told “everything’s been redone.” Among the surprises was an outdoor storage structure on the property that inspectors told her was illegal.’
All good until the last week? She’s being highway robbed by corrupt California inspectors trying to shake someone down and, despite the obvious, uses the opportunity to cast aspersions on one of Trump’s team.

” ‘When they opened up the house, they were like, ‘This house is the most toxic environment,’” she said. Contractors allegedly warned that Handler wouldn’t be able to live in the house for years. “I’m not exaggerating any of this,’” she said.”
That means they so Handler coming and knew $$$ were headed their way. If the house is truly in such shape then it is likely subject to the “Unsafe Building Abatement Code” or similar adopted by the jurisdiction enforcing that code.
Handler may have discovered that the amount of renovations she had planned for the house trigger the requirement that not only was that work to be to current code but other portions (part or in whole) would need to be made current.
There is no way in blazes that the home does not have a foundation of one sort or another. I think she has buyer’s remorse and wants RFKjr and Hines to take the brunt.
Wouldn’t have anything to do with him being MAGA, would it?
