Trump’s War Alliance With Israel Is Reshaping the Middle East. But It Carries Risks.
The New York Times ^ | March 13, 2026 | Anton Troianovski

In 1991, American officials flew to Israel to keep the country from retaliating against Scud missile attacks and joining the Gulf War.

In 2002, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld warned it would be “in Israel’s overwhelming best interests not to get involved” in the looming invasion of Iraq.

In 2026, the United States went to war alongside Israel.

“It’s the first time,” said Amos Yadlin, a former head of Israeli military intelligence, “that Israel is going to war together with a superpower.”

The United States has been the Jewish state’s most important backer for decades, providing it with weaponry and working closely with the Israeli military. But successive U.S. administrations avoided fighting with Israel as a wartime ally. They were worried about losing U.S. support in the Arab world and have seen Israeli interests in the Middle East as divergent from American ones.

“There was a fear that any association with Israel would cost us with the Arabs,” said Dennis Ross, a longtime U.S. diplomat and the Middle East envoy for President Bill Clinton.

Now President Trump has become the first American leader to embrace fighting a full-fledged, joint war with Israel — a level of coordination that Mr. Ross said would have been “unthinkable in the past.” The combination of Israel and the United States fighting side-by-side, their warplanes flying coordinated sorties using data from their world-leading intelligence agencies, has created a fighting force with a destructive potential and technological edge that is, by many measures, overwhelming.

On the aircraft in the skies, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Friday, Iranians see “the Stars and Stripes and the Star of David — the evil regime’s worst nightmare.”

“Risks”

less than that of fanatics with a massive nuclear arsenal and missiles to deliver nuclear warheads

...They were worried about losing U.S. support in the Arab world ...

With Iran raining missiles on most of them and preventing them from selling their oil it sure looks like Iran has tossed away any chance of an alliance with most of the Arab states. They even lobbed a missile at Turkey! That even surprised me because if it was successful it would have brought in the rest of the NATO alliance!

Risks for the other Arab states too.

If I was Iran I would obliterate the biggest hotels in the UAE and Saudi.

Pound those 5 star mega skyscraper hotels to dust, make the Sunni bleed money, they have nothing to lose.

“Cowards should never lead a nation”
I couldn’t agree more!
The current anti-American democrat party in the US is made up of indecisive cowards, grifters, deviants and outright weenies who can never decide whether to shit or get off the pot.

Yep. Decades of inaction, cowardice, and grifting, all the while taxing us into decades of debt and robbing us of our livelihoods. Thank God Trump has a comprehensive plan of action.

Yup... There’s a risk Israel won’t be destroyed by a nuclear weapon developed and delivered by Iran... Wait a minute... Isn’t that a ‘good’ thing?

There is also a terrible risk that BRICS nation’s plans to dominate the economies of the world will soon evaporate like morning dew.

Hand wringing and tears at the NY Times.

What is means is that Iran is increasingly being made manifest that it is an enemy of all who dare oppose it, as it even attacks other Islamic countries, and which would only increase if allowed to continue its development. The fact it that national security means such entities and movements as ISIS must be dealt with sooner or later, and which would be the case even if Israel did not exist.

And the latter would be the case if militant Islam had its way, thus leaving the US with no substantial allies.

And in an age of rapid tech development, then militant Islam as well as N. Korea and communist can quickly become a dangerous threat to all who oppose it.

Of course, hyper isolationists live in a delusion that the US needs no foreign "engagement," meaning alliance building in the interests of national security. While perhaps the militarization of Space might enable that, yet the US is being surpassed by China as regards the rate of advancement. And which only the US effectively deters. For now (and it is watching the war with Iran with keen interest.

Thus the question:

What would the world look like if America was strict isolationist, and having withdrew all forces in the world, then what threats would it face?

Yet war against God is what ensures eventual demise.
