Florsheim, the shoe brand President Donald Trump has been widely reported to favor and gift to allies, is owned by a parent company that is suing his administration over tariffs imposed during his second term.
Weyco Group Inc., which owns Florsheim Shoe Company, filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Court of International Trade in December challenging the legality of those tariffs and seeking refunds for duties it says were unlawfully collected.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with politics. Whatever.

I’m pretty sure the shoes are made in Chyna.

It is Newsweek, when you guys make up these childish names it could be a blog or a parody blog or anything, we don’t know where the article actually comes from, and why send money to MSN?

Would they sue if the shoe were on the other foot?
To: subterfuge
I’m pretty sure the shoes are made in Chyna. For $140, they better not be.

If these companies want to eliminate the tariffs, the path was paid off in front of them.
Make them here.
Honestly, these high end brands have shown us that we’ve been paying top dollar for stuff made by the cheapest materials and labor forces. They’ve shown us we’ve been wasting our money.
Now that said, I’ve been waiting for Toughbuilt to stop dicking around and get these 250 dollar plastic toolboxes to my house.

When I worked I preferred Allen Edmonds shoes. Now that I’m retired, I wear Hoka’s.

It’s about money, not politics. When Trump’s favorite Florsheim shoes that he’s buying for all his cabinet secretaries jump in price from $175 to ~$400 per pair, he’ll quit buying them for others.
To: Kleon
I’ve got a half dozen pair of Florsheims. They are my go to shoes for work and casual social outings. Very comfortable, and they look great.
