Ohio State University is investigating after President Walter “Ted” Carter Jr. resigned abruptly over the weekend following the disclosure of “an inappropriate relationship” with a woman seeking public resources for her personal business, the university said Monday.
Carter, 66, said in a statement that he had resigned voluntarily after informing the university’s board of trustees of his error. He did not elaborate on the nature of the relationship and mentioned that he was leaving the post along with his wife, Lynda.
“For personal reasons, I have made the difficult decision to resign from my role as president of The Ohio State University,” he said. “I disclosed to the board of trustees that I made a mistake in allowing inappropriate access to Ohio State leadership.”

Details are sketchy but the rumours are sexual favors traded for contracts outside of normal procurement channels. Even a few unnamed sources have hinted at an Epstein - Wexner connection.
Carter of course has been found guilty by innuendo, but that is the world we live in. If the rumours are substantiated it will be sad a fine career has been squandered.
My brother-in-law was at the Academy with this guy. Carter’s call sign is “Slapshot”.

Don’t know but i can tell you this- my daughter graduated from The Ohio State University last year and when all the anti-Israel protests were going on around campuses he was very vocal the protests were not allowed to take place on the OSU campus.
We received an email from him telling us while it was the student right to protest, they did not have a right to protest on campus and disrupt other students.
These days we’re encouraged it was an inappropiate affair with a woman.
At Penn State, it’s the pet dog.
No wonder Urban Meyer fit in there.
