WARMINGTON: Iranian-Canadian activist's gym shot up hours after ayatollah's demise

But since it occurred just hours after the announced death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei following military strikes by the United States and Israel on Tehran, a call to the federal government and CSIS as well would seem to be appropriate. Article content Article content

On social media, Salar Gholami, a Canadian cruiserweight champion who grew up in Iran and runs the Saliwan Boxing Club in York Region, recorded a video showing the front entrance of his gym on Yonge St. in Richmond Hill after it was shot up with numerous rounds.

Bullet holes can be seen in some of the windows that feature pro-Iranian liberation flags and pictures, while at least two panes were shattered. “It’s concerning because the gym was hit with 17 bullets, which means it was meant for 17 bodies,” said Gholami, who added that intimidation of Iran’s critics “could become a real problem for Canada … and they are going to have to stop that.”

I hope that the police in Canada, the United States, and Western Europe become proactive in dealing with the Islamic terrorist threat. The attack in Austin was done by a deranged man from Senegal who entered this country in 2000 during the last year of the Clinton Administration. He was likely a “lone nut”. The shooting in Toronto was likely the result of Iranian government assets in Canada attacking anti-government Iranian exiles.

Lots of Iranians in this neck of the woods so hopefully they’ll catch the perps. I’m not sure exactly where this is but it could easily be just around the corner from me. My fairly small church has a number of Iranians attending. They showed up in force yesterday with some friends and family to boot yesterday.
