Six people were killed and about 15 more were injured (Sunday) at the scene of a missile strike in the Beit Shemesh area, following the launches from Iran towards Israel.
A 10-year-old girl and another person were seriously injured in the strike. MDA teams are providing medical treatment at the scene and are working to evacuate the injured to hospitals. Hadassah Hospital prepared for a mass casualty incident.
The missile struck the roof of a shelter where people had gathered in response to the red alert sirens.
It was also reported that in the latest barrage, a 50-year-old man was moderately injured by shrapnel in a community in central Israel.
MDA EMT Yosef Laufer: “Upon receiving the report at MDA’s 101 dispatch center about a missile strike on several buildings with significant destruction, large numbers of ambulances and mobile intensive care units were dispatched to the scene. When we arrived, we saw extensive damage and residents who had been rescued from the building. We provided medical treatment to several casualties, including a 10-year-old girl in serious condition, as well as a number of other injured individuals with varying degrees of injuries. MDA teams remain at the scene to continue treating additional casualties who have not yet been rescued."
The IDF stated: "Home Front Command search and rescue forces, together with numerous medical teams and a helicopter for casualty evacuation, are currently operating at the impact site in Beit Shemesh. The Commander of the Home Front Command is on his way to the scene."

To a terrorist, dead civilians are a good thing, no matter whose. To a legitimate soldier, they are a black mark, no matter whose. Every terrorist is a freedom fighter, because they are fighting against freedom, seeking to preserve or create despotism.
As expected, the Islamic regime is targeting civilian areas in their attacks on many nations. Our side targets military, intelligence and governmental infrastructure. Good versus evil.
Also smart vs. stupid. If you target civilians, you hope to demoralize the leaders and the people you’re fighting against. It almost always has the opposite effect, infuriating them both. If you target strategically relevant infrastructure, you destroy the enemy’s ability to fight.
That’s Iranians-in-Bahrain, not Bahrainis.
The Washington Post had a video showing the massive explosion caused by an Iranian missile at a base in Bahrain.
It may still be up.
For me the main question is what kind of government will rule Iran now.

But, is it fair to say casualties in Israel so far are well under last Summer’s 12 day war?
The Islamist regime is flailing away like a demented rat in its dying throes. I don’t see a propitious short-term future for them.

Any guesses as to what type missile / warhead? If Iran is spraying around warheads designed to destroy hardened targets, most shelters would still be vulnerable... :-(
Hopefully the US and Israel can step up shooting the archers.
Many shelters are pretty slip shod. We made the foyer of our apartment into our “safe room”. No windows, so no flying glass. But we’re on the top floor, so a direct hit above our heads would end us. BFD. At least it calms my wife and son down, and they’re both overly anxious about everything.
The public “shelter” on our block is basically a store awning above a slightly lower-than-usual inset into the sidewalk. A joke. No thank you.

There is a significant Hezbollah presence in Bahrain. Mostly covert, but they provide support to anti-Bahrain militias and are funded by the Iran’s IRGC. Their goal is to overthrow the Bahraini monarchy and create a Shia puppet state run by Hezbollah.
