Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Tuesday dismissed viral videos of New Yorkers pelting NYPD officers with snow – contending it was just a “snowball fight.”
The frozen fracas in Washington Square Park on Monday had drawn wide outrage from pro-police pols and unions, with NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch deeming it “criminal” and saying the department was investigating.
But when Mamdani was asked if he agreed, he effectively waved off the snowy skirmish as childish mischief gone overboard.

“This was not just a ‘snowball fight.’ This was an assault — by adults throwing chunks of ice and rocks — that landed two police officers in the hospital with head and face injuries,” he said.

If I threw a ‘snowball’ at a police officer, I’d expect at minimum, a ‘hickory shampoo’.
A snowball fight involves two sides. The cops need to join in and take all day and have fun. Reports for the day should show they engaged in a snowball fight with locals as approved by the mayor.
The police will always do their job because they’re honorable men who love their city, and want their friends and family to be safe. But this mayor is really going to push these guys, and it will not be pretty. The morale is pretty much destroyed in Chicago and we know what happens there.

If we look at the long view of NY/NYC hopefully the countless people moving out of that 3rd world, muzzie haven will lose a couple electoral seats and the red states will pick them up.
