The United States women’s ice hockey team, fresh off a gold-medal victory over Canada in the 2026 Milan Cortina Games, declined an invitation from President Donald Trump to attend his State of the Union address on Tuesday.

Whew! That was close. What was he thinking?
He joked about it in the phone call with the men’s team. He said something along the lines of, “I’ll have to invite the women’s team or they will impeach me.” Frankly, I’m sure Trump would have been happy to have the women’s team as his guests at the State of the Union Address.
I wonder if the dems will refuse to applaud when he acknowledges the men’s team. Are they planning to have their ping pong paddles this time?
