U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday said he is going to dispatch a hospital ship to Greenland, autonomous Danish territory that Trump has said he wants to acquire.
Danish officials responded by saying the health care systems in Denmark and Greenland are more than adequate.
“Working with the fantastic Governor of Louisiana, Jeff Landry, we are going to send a great hospital boat to Greenland to take care of the many people who are sick, and not being taken care of there. It’s on the way!!!” Trump said in a post on social media alongside an illustration of the U.S. hospital ship the Mercy.
Trump appointed Landry as his special envoy to Greenland just before Christmas, as the U.S. president continued his push for control of the self-ruling Danish territory, which he has said is vital for American national security.
Trump announced the plan to send a hospital ship just before hosting a dinner for Republican governors at the White House, where he sat next to Landry. Landry reposted Trump’s message in a separate social media post, adding: “Proud to work with you on this important issue!”

Let’s hope it will at least be used, not like the Hospital ship “Comfort” that was sent to NY City during the scamdemic, and treated less than 200 people.
What people there are sick and not being cared for? They’ve got modern hospitals and doctors. Did they ask for help?
Trump is a very successful real estate developer. Comes in handy when negotiating a deal like the purchase of Greenland. Or any other territory he wants or thinks we need.
A long time ago, I worked for the CEO of a successful real estate development firm in CA. They always had smart real estate appraisers out looking at apartment complexes. he might buy and turn into $$$$$$$ condos. He wanted to write a book about it and hired me to write it. I knew 0 about the topic but he liked me and my writing style.
Anyway, I have a clue or two about how these guys think. And about Risk/Reward.
Free healthcare for Greenland...already taking US welfare and they’re not even a territory yet.
One should be making its way to the Persian Gulf. It’s about to get bloody.
We have two dedicated hospital ships. One is stationed in Norfolk and the other in San Diego. They have been deployed on numerous occasions in support of military operations and on humanitarian missions. For example, to Haiti after an earthquake.
BTW our super carriers and amphibious assault ships make great hospital and general relief ships. But, at this time, we have quite a few military operations and don’t have any of these magnificent ships to spare.
NYC wanted money, not help. Besides they couldn’t allow Trump any wind

To me his main good thing is stalling the Dem leftist destruction (fundamental transformation) they planned from BHussein Osama on..
They put Covid patients in the Hospital ship and contaminated it...making it worthless for treating “normal” patients.
Many Americans need healthcare. Greenlanders already have it.
Probably not. I could be wrong but surely there are more people in Louisiana without access to healthcare who could benefit from such a ship.
This makes me concerned there may be baby farms underground in Greenland as well as New Mexico.
This obsessive campaign to obtain Greenland is coming off as a “kinder, gentler” version of CHI-na’s Belt and Roads tactic of roping in lesser countries with carrots while holding the big stick where they don’t see it. President Trump may not be holding one but the similarity remains.
