A random altercation outside Blanchet House ended with one man dead from stab wounds and now his killer sentenced to life in prison.
Jesse James Herold, 35, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Wednesday as part of a plea deal that dropped more than a dozen other open cases against him. Though sentenced to life, he has a possibility of parole in 25 years.

Portland is very white for a major metropolitan city, so it comes as no surprise that you find a lot of white criminals. Hispanic gangs have crowded out the black gangs as they outnumber them 2:1.
The salient point in this article is “plea deal that dropped more than a dozen other open cases against him.”
Had this man been properly prosecuted and jailed this murder would not have occurred.

Many years ago. I had a contract with a government agency that required paying the government established wage rates. (trade union regional rates in a right to work state). Part of the requirement was to report ethnicity numbers.
