Sen. Saddam Azlan Salim’s first priority has been a bill to define ‘Islamophobia’. The most notable thing about his bill SB 624 ‘Assault and battery; definition of “Islamophobia”, penalty’ is how completely unnecessary it is. Virginia already has multiple layers of hate crimes enhancements for assaults motivated by race, ethnicity and religion. During Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s term, the legislature has already passed SB 7 (Senate Bill 7) and its counterpart enhancing the assault charge for anyone who “intentionally selects the person against whom a simple assault is committed because of his race, religious conviction, gender, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, color, or ethnic or national origin.”
That should cover Islam and Muslims. And yet Sen. Saddam introduced a 3 page bill with 10 clauses in its first section a whole lot of whom do nothing more than add (including Islam) where it isn’t remotely needed or useful. For example “because of his race, religious conviction (including Islam), gender, disability, gender identity” or “because of his race, religious conviction (including Islam)”. Islam appears to be the only religion being singled out this way.
Why provide Islam with this privileged status? Because it makes Islam distinct, which is a step towards making it superior, and making Islam distinct and superior is the religious mission of all believing Muslims.

Who would have guessed -- even as recently as five years ago -- that Virginia would have an official religion and the religion would be Islam.

Some wise person once said:
“The First Amendment is meant to protect unpopular speech. Because popular speech needs no protection.”
That idea is now outdated. Disagree with the today’s radicals, and you’ll be prosecuted. They’ll find a reason easy enough.
If passed, it won’t be long till Virginia will be hearing the call to prayer five times a day

Some years ago in Germany one New Year’s Eve, there was mass rape by Muslims of German women. A large gathering of men put on dresses and marched in protest as a result.

Virginia is the new Cuba; a failed state in every sense of the word. They still have tons of money thanks to continuous transfusions of cash paid to worthless federal employees nesting in northern Virginia.

Various victimhoods are listed; being female, alphabet sexuality, "POC," etc. These are to be given preference, excuses, and deference which is leftist "justice." (aka revenge -- Devil's dictionary again - every leftist term means the opposite of the normal term it supplants). The kicker is DEI in practice means eventually some "victim" and another "victim" want the same thing and the more victimitude wins.

Every self perceived victim, even if a (((majority))) as with women, has gotten their way and been afforded extra protections, carved out certain policies that make them the default victim, see domestic disputes and divorce as an example.
Why not Muslims?
Let’s add them to the list of special folks too.
If you look at them wrong and they “feel” an offense, you’re guilty!

If homos can be a special class, a protected class, even if unofficial (mere sexual fetish), why can’t a religion?
If blacks can be a protected class, merely on the basis of skin color, again why not a religion?
I think we should make EVERYONE special, except white, heterosexual, Christian males without a disability and under 55, ~14% of the population.
If islam is a “religion” instead of the cult it appears to be, it is indeed the Religion of Terror, the ROT of the world ... and this ROT cannot coexist with Western Judeo-Christian values on which our Republic and our Constitution are founded. QED.
