TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A Shadow Hills resident tells News 4 Tucson that she witnessed three people being detained during a SWAT operation on Friday night. According to an unconfirmed report by a neighbor, another person shot himself in the head.
This comes after a SWAT situation occurred in the Shadow Hills neighborhood on Feb. 13. A man and a woman were detained at the house, and a third person was detained in a traffic stop, according to sources close to the investigation.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department said the SWAT operation was in connection with the Nancy Guthrie investigation.
A PCSD vehicle was seen blocking the roadway at East Placita De Graciela and East Camino de Michael.
Details are limited, and a statement is expected to come soon.
The FBI's Operational Technology Division recently released a description of the subject seen in the doorbell camera in front of Nancy's home. The suspect is described as being between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall with an average build. A distinctive feature is the 25-liter 'Ozark Trail Hiker Pack' backpack he was carrying. The subject was seen with a ski mask and gloves in the black-and-white surveillance footage.

How could she observe 3 people being detained or arrested at the house when only two were, Because one of them was dead.?
The third person detained or arrested was in a car in a parking lot.
I think it’s safe to assume that the mother is dead.
I still think it was an alien abduction...
Interestingly, the house is located such that a car can be driven from the Guthrie neighborhood to that house without passing by any official intersection cameras or video recording devices so it would make a perfect stash house.
This would allow them to operate in the Catalina Foothills area, stage crimes and then quickly drive back to the stash house, pull into the garage and shut the garage door.
They could then transfer items into a second vehicle inside the closed garage in. complete secrecy.. This second vehicle can then be driven away under cover of the crazy Tucson rush hour traffic in the area and it would be very hard to track or identify.
Looks like the lead was developed from people seeing the vehicle driving around the neighborhood and maybe matching up with video from ring cameras.
FWIW, a silver Range Rover is very nondescript and would be the perfect car to drive around Catalina Foothills residential roads without raising any suspicions, can carry as much as a lot of trucks and has a rear hatchback. This suggests a pretty well thought out plan and an organized group of people are involved.
These are organized Cartel and Colombian Crime Tourist style tactics used to case and hit wealthy neighborhoods and Catalina Foothill is a very wealthy, secluded and ungated community.
Very weird
early reports by unconfirmed independent observers and anonymous “sources” aren’t necessarily going to be completely accurate, esp. regarding numbers ... for example, MAYBE the person arrested in the car is a FOURTH person ...
That was my point. It sounds like the person in the car is a fourth person. My criticism is mostly with the reporter or writer of this piece.
😬
it was the sheriff...
Agree....but really, I don’t know the facts of the matter..but it seems to be something strange going on..even considering that the authorities aren’t releasing much information...
Range Rovers are equipped with the Land Rover InControl® system, which includes features for tracking and security. This system utilizes GPS technology to provide various services, including vehicle tracking in emergencies. It includes a Stolen Vehicle Locator feature that uses GPS technology to help locate and recover the vehicle if it is stolen.
Want to hit a house? Buy a happy meal from McDonalds and have your Door Dash guy deliver it to the house. so he has a pretext to give the place a going over. He can also scout for places to hit on his legit deliveries.
That Rio Rico guy was reportedly a Door Dash delivery guy - which are like Uber drivers.
They are gig economy people working out of their private vehicles to deliver food and other items like a pizza delivery person. .
This is not a high margin business so it is not entirely clear why a Door Dash delivery guy would drive 80 miles or so from his Rio Rico to deliver Door Dash in Catalina Foothills.
It's a half hour drive through a zillion horribly timed stop lights just to get from the I-10 freeway to Catalina Foothills.
Coincidentally, Rio Rico is located right on the Mexican Border in an area that is notorious for constant cartel drug and human traffic through it on a daily basis (at least before Trump) . It was virtually a Cartel owned no go zone under the Biden Administration.
I'd be checking to see if Door Dash guy was making deliveries to Shadow Hills. I'd also be checking to see if Rio Rico Door Dash guy currently has any sudden emergency burrito delivery orders from across the border in Nogales that he has to attend to.
Not sure that Cartel friendly Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos is super eager to connect the dots on this one.
It just gets weirder and weirder. .
There are “crime tourists” from South America who visit
California on a tourist visa and count on being deported (free trip home) if they are caught.
That’s what you get from the story? My mind says that some trailer park trash (related to the Clintons?)thought they could ransom the old lady because her daughter is on TV - and now it’s going to be a murder case....
Very interesting. Thanks for posting.
The fellow who committed suicide probably was one of the kidnappers. I suspect Nancy Guthrie is dead .This guy knew his life was over after being caught so he ended it right then and there . Dominic Evans is the name I’ve seen come up . He was a band member with a son in law of Nancy Guthrie.
Kinda on the same page as you my friend.
Major work was done on her roof recently.
My guess is someone connected to that saw a well off elderly woman living alone and saw a soft target.
Heck, I doubt it was ever about the daughter at all.
It’ll end up being a burglary gone wrong.
That’s my uneducated theory anyway.
