It was a BALMY 40 degrees F today!

Some of the snow melted, but we have a long way to go till the big plow piles melt.

40 degrees is definitely spring-like after what y’all have had!

42.1 in my neck of the southern part of Penn’s woods.

Took a flat shovel to the ice pack at the flare of my lane’s apron.

Didn’t remove as much as I wanted but one more day of solar action might gain me space for plowing the next snow.

The ice is what causes the most aggravation. We had some about 2 weeks ago. Of course it melted much quicker than yours will.

Mine arrived on January 25-26.

Only on February 10 were the deer able to break through the crust and begin grubbing the ground instead of browsing the arbovitaes.

I had does grazing arbovitaes within six feet of my front door!

Howdy, luvie.

Looks like our temps were the same today. We had sunshine which made it almost pleasant outside. Just that dratted breeze with a bite that made a difference.

Hey there, radu!

Did you get that rain you hoped for?

It was coolish here but still nice. I was waked up earlier than I wanted to by the guy with a chainsaw [or some kind] cutting down our huge tree in the front yard. I’m so sad, but it was almost dead. :(

Howdy, PRO.

I was just thinking about Rus the other day and how much I miss his posts. It’s still hard to believe he’s gone.

Darn wind can sure ruin a nice day if it gets too strong. Not to mention messes with our hair. LOL!

It wasn’t blowing all that hard. Just a stiff breeze with a bite. Heavy jacket was needed. The sun had the car warm enough that Jasper wasn’t uncomfortable when we left for the vet this afternoon.
They’re talking possible frost tonight and tomorrow night. No clouds to hold the heat in.
But we warm back up for the weekend and beyond - - and more rain comes Sat. with the warm front. We’ll take it!
