A video is going viral of a congressional candidate in North Carolina admitting she is truly a "progressive" even though she is running as a Republican.
"Are you trying to trick people?" Katie Barr, who is running in North Carolina's 14th Congressional District, was asked on a podcast called "The Hometown Holler."
"If you go on the campaign website, above the fold as they call it, is like, 'I'm not a real Republican.' Like, I am telling people the truth. I knock on a door and say, ‘I am running in the Republican primary, but I am not a Republican, I am a progressive,’" Barr responded. "I can't claim a Democrat anymore."
She added that her goal is not "to pull a fast one," claiming she is just "being dead honest with people about what I would do if I win."
On Nov. 6, Barr filed paperwork to challenge incumbent Rep. Tim Moore, R-N.C., to represent the state's 14th Congressional District.
Barr states on her website's home page that she is running as a Republican because it's "the only way to kick these corrupt cowards out of office." She claims that Republicans have "rigged the maps" to ensure they will come out victors "every time."
"The general election has already been decided. So - the primary is the only competition for this job," Barr's website explains.
Barr reiterated that she has been "honest" about who she is and how she plans to govern "from the start" in a statement to Fox News Digital.

NC's primaries are open. The rule states that voters do not have to declare a party affiliation in order to vote in the primary, but they must choose one party's ballot.
She obviously she want Democrats to flood the Republican primary and vote for her. That is the only way she can win. That is why she is bragging about being a "progressive".
She deserves NO respect.
What she means is she wants some dummy’s to vote for her as she is running on GOP ticket. Once elected caucus as a dem. Happened in our town. Won by about 20 votes and is back as a full lib. Town is 75% gop.
She is stating for the world and Republicans to hear that she will vote Progressive.
We get all sorts of Progressives that say they will vote Conservative, then vote Progressive.
Would you rather have what you can know or what you can’t know, to vote for a person? I have voted for Progressives most of my life, but they were Republicans.
Everyone here probably has done the same thing.
I would much rather know I shouldn’t vote for a Republican instead of just hoping my Republican isn’t a Progressive.
The GOP should remove her from the ballot.

She's only being honest because she's trying to get Democrats to cross over and flood the Republican primary. That's the only way she can win.
Add to that, she is a progressive, which means that she will vote close to 0% Conservative or MAGA.
You can give her respect if you would like. I won't.
I’ve speculated for years, as I’m sure many of you as well, that Democrats have inflitrated the GOP, and have run and won races as Republicans only to go totally RINO and worse.
Don’t put it past today’s Democrat Party to resort to the most loathsome things to gain total control over the political process.
