At first glance, the decision by Bill and Hillary Clinton to drop their long resistance and agree to testify before a GOP-controlled House panel about Jeffrey Epstein looks like a huge defeat for them.
And it is, since the Clintons’ separate appearances, scheduled to take place in public later this month, are certain to turn into circus-like spectacles that will heap embarrassment and scorn on the former first couple.
Yet it’s worth noting that it wasn’t the goodness of their hearts that led the Clintons to give into the congressional demand to testify under oath about Epstein. They did it only because the alternative would have been much more painful.

When I first got on Free Republic, I thought something would happen to Clinton, but by 2001 or so, I realized nothing would ever happen. Probably the worst thing that ever happened to Clinton was Obama.
They’ve both lied to Congress and nothing happened. Why should any other outcome be expected?
Yeah, the Clintons will never face justice, but Hillary is tortured knowing she will never be president despite being the heavy favorite to win it twice. Losing to unknown Barack Obama in the Democrat primaries in 2008, and then losing to Trump in 2016 when the night before the election I saw Democrat analysts gleefully saying she would win nearly 400 electoral votes!
I’ll tell you what, I can’t think of a more fitting pairing than Hillary and Bubba, two of the most evil depraved, corrupt, nasty, degenerate scumbags to ever stain US politics. I’m sure Hillary is absolutely irate about how bills past sexcapades continue to haunt them, and it must be a hilarious thing to see in a karma sort of way
Those two losses in ‘08 and ‘16 are excellent punishment for this arrogant piece of filth. She was so confident ... LOL! I still look at the pics I saved in 2016 taken the night of the election. Her loser supporters going crazy. It was a thing of beauty.
My guess is that, like the former Prince Andrew, the Clintons will lose many of their remaining supporters. For narcissistic sociopaths like the Clintons, that will be punishment.

Clinton is a very good liar, if you remember.
They are both decent lawyers and will get lots of good help.
They will find some way out of this, somehow.
But it may be worth watching.
Bet there will be a lot of “I don’t remember” at the circus.

If the hapless Republicans have any cojones, they will bring a few Billy boy photos, from the newly released Epstein files. To jar loose Clintoon’s memory.
I remember her shoving herself in front of Slick Willy and the camera back in ‘92 and saying “You get ME with this deal, too”.

And watching those idiot “Hillary!!” Supporters wailing and screeching in ‘16 was thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable… especially the moron in the yellow rain jacket sitting in the street screaming…She’s probably at ICE protests now…

IMHO Epstein used his harem of very young women to attract business and influence from middle aged men of dubious morals. Bill Clinton was both low hanging fruit and a high reward target for this business model.
This business model worked, at least with respect to Bill Clinton, in the early 2000s. Bill Clinton was a figure of awe and worship in Dem Party circles. Being seen with him was bound to attract investors.
Things are different in 2026. It’s 25 years since he left the White House. He’s no longer an object of worship. Dem Party hacks in Congress are more willing to throw him under the bus. Especially if they think it gives them leverage against Trump. IMHO this is why they’re willing to vote to hold him in contempt.
The Clintons will adopt a stance of rebellion against “king Trump” and his minions trying to politically destroy them. . They’ll take the fifth pointedlylike a couple of badass James Deans.
Hillary will take her famous “I don’t recall” line which she prefers while under oath.
They will get the questions in advance.
