President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday to expedite rebuilding in the Pacific Palisades and Eaton Canyon after wildfires ravaged the Los Angeles communities in January 2025.
According to a White House fact sheet, the order directs the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Karen Evans and the Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Kelly Loeffler to establish regulations preempting procedural permitting requirements at the state and local levels.

I think everyone knows the story of how Trump built a skating rink in NYC that the city had been incapable of building. Trump just went ahead and built it. I guess the city hadn’t thought about doing that.
Now in California. How to rebuild Palisades? Well, just go and rebuild it. California state government thinks it’s a crazy idea, but I think it just might work.
How is this a federal issue?
Current developments from LAT via msn:
State officials don't get kickbacks from builders if they don't force some of the land to be used for some low income insta-slum apartments.
State officials don't get to change the area's electoral demographics if the original owners can rebuild.
Involvement of federal funds.
The old statement — “taxation is theft” is still valid.
But I think people are catching on to a new statement — “Government is a criminal enterprise. It’s all about the fraud.”
MN, CA and all the other states. If government is doing something, it’s because they can skim money from the effort. Otherwise, why bother?
CA DemonRats are particularly good at disappearing money that was appropriated for different purposes. Just look at the $100 billion for “high speed rail” that completely disappeared withoput a single mile of track beiong built. Now look at the LAT article I linked that shows the CA authorities begging for Federal money instead of expediting building permits. They just want that money so they can disappear it.

This is brilliant. While Newsom should embrace this he will no doubt fight it out of spite. In doing so , he will be easy to paint as man who only exists to obstruct progress…. Not someone truly invested in the lives of Californians
The funding programs are through FEMA and SBA.
Fed $$ are all over the place in CaCaLand. Everything this crapState does is Fed funded. You other 49 states pay for everything.
That said, there is nothing about “failure” in this. State politicos are buying up land from families that cannot withstand the delays any longer. So, they then mandate that apartments be built in the place of the single family homes. This is all deliberate.
But for what purpose? 90% of the people who lived there are probably democrap voters, and they ain’t gonna change their voting habits regardless of what Trump does. So why?
Lets see if Sparkles Ken Newscum rushes in now with the FireAid cash to save the day.
I don’t know why everyone is getting their panties all bunched up over this, in Los Angeles County it is a BARE MINIMUM of 1 1/2 years to secure your first permit if you have a top notch expediter doing it for you. To get all the permits you need it is usually 4 years, that’s how long it took me 4 years ago. It’s only been barely a year.
