Border Police officers identified a suspect who approached on foot from the direction of Judea and Samaria toward the Tunnels Checkpoint. During a security check conducted at the scene, the suspect presented an ID card and, at a certain point, pulled out a knife. Checkpoint security personnel opened fire at him, and the suspect was neutralized....

We have diffent forms of insanity. Ultra-Orthodox blocking traffic because they are against being drafted, saying it takes away from their spiritually vital Torah studying, which they are not doing because they’re blocking traffic instead. Disgustingly, two school boys, who were not studying Torah, have accidentally died at these damned demonstrations.
Is G-d trying to tell them something? Nobody can hear Him over the stupid protest chants. Is that nuts, or what?
Then there was the pre-war protests over judicial reform. The Left was furious over the notion that the new government actually wanted to do something to curb in the judiciary’s absolute power over everything. No need for standing, no need for constitutional issues because there’s no constitution, just “core laws,” which are determined by...the judiciary. They can even overrule military and budgetary decisions. Actual leftards did not actually do any protesting. Oh, no. They were too busy. They hired senior citizens to hold up pre-fabbed signs against judicial reform, the very issue over which Likud and its coalition were elected.
Not surprisingly, this lunacy looked like an opportunity for Hamas to finally commit the mass murder and kidnapping they were planning for years, and the new government, including rabidly militant Ben Gvir, somehow missed all the warnings, from listening posts, Egypt, on-line chatter, undercover agents, prophecy from Rabbi Yaakov Emdin three hundred years ago, all of it just didn’t register.
But at least we don’t celebrate crazed assailants as heros and riot over them. That would totally jump the shark.
